'Mike grasped me by the collar, yelling, as I store at his skinless form.

"Please. Please... I didn't mean harm." I begged, protecting my face from his threat.

"But, you did!" Matt chuckled, joining the group, who continued to torment me.

"You may not have meant harm!" Emily barked, knocking me out of Mike's grasp. "But you caused it!"

"I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry..." I insisted, crawling away from my friends, breathing heavily.

"You're not!" Chris added to the conversation. A sinister smile emerging on his face. "You'll never be!"

"I AM!"

"Oh, Joshua. Look at the pain you've caused your family... You're friends. You think it's all OK. It'll never be OK!" Dr. Hill tormented, angrily, standing by his desk.

"Is this what you want?" Sam questioned, as my body knocked against the wall, giving me knowledge that I was now trapped.

"No!"

"You like us this way!" Ashley scolded, reaching out a boney hand toward me. "We know you do."

"YOU'RE NOT REAL!"

"But we are... Josh." Hannah and Beth whispered, covering me in mud, as they grasped my shaking form.'

"NO!" I screamed, breathing, hastily, as I awoke. Immediately, arms clung to my form, as I cried and closed my eyes, trying to push the mysterious figure away. "Get away!"

"J-Josh... It's me." A voice comforted, hushing me.

"No."

"Look-Look at me..." They breathed. Shaking my head once more, I huddled into a small ball, shaking to and thro.

"Leave me alone!"

"Just open your eyes." The voice ordered, tucking me in a cuddle.

"Your safe." Another told, sitting beside me on top of the bed. Reluctantly opening my eyes, I realise I am being held by Mike, who stroked my hair, comfortingly.

"See safe." Chris reassured, as Mike hugged me close.

"Now. What was that all about?" Sam questioned, as she came into view, hugging me, rocking me back and forth. "Eh?"

"I-I..."

"It's OK." Matt told, sitting on the bed, joined by Jess and Emily. "We understand. You can tell us you know..."

"I-I." I stuttered, my throat clogged up, as I realised my friends were fine and safe... Well, safe at least. "Nothing... J-Just a nightmare."

"We understand, Josh." Jess reassured a soft smile on her lips. But, how could she smile after what I did? How?

"We lived it too."

"I-I'm so so sorry... If I knew about the Wendigo -" I paused, a shudder riding up my spine. Sighing. "I'm just such a lame friend."

"Ssh." Mike hushed, grabbing me close, as I cried into his chest.

"I'm sorry! I'm SO SO sorry..."

"It's done." Emily yawned, slithering back into her sleeping bag. "So, forget about it." She then, turned and feel into a soundless sleep.

"Just ignore her." Matt ordered. "She's just grouchy. Like always."

"She has a reason to be." Jess chuckled, pushing him to the floor.

"Are you ready to go back to sleep?" Mike asked, as I nuzzled against his chest, shaking my head.

"No... J-Just give me a minute."

"OK, take as long as you need." Minutes later, I nodded my head, as he placed my head on the pillow.

"Good night, Mike."

"It's almost morning." He replied with a chuckle.

"Well... Good morning, Mike."

"Good morning, Joshua." He chuckled, placing a kiss on my cheek, making me giggle.

And guess what?

No nightmares...
