AN: So. Here's another birthday fic for Canada! Credit for the idea on this one goes to my group's Switzerland! She's awesome, and I'm so sending this to her...maybe. I dunno. I'm thinking that one through.
"Right, so I called you guys here because I have something we should do!"America said.
It was the beginning of another meeting with the Allies, minus Canada, who'd not been informed of the meeting, due to it's content.
England rolled his eyes. "Just get on with it,"he said.
America grinned brightly. "Canada's birthday's today. We should so throw him a party!"
Silence sounded before France spoke up. "What did you have in mind, Amerique?"he asked calmly.
America launched into a long winded plan. Nobody interupted him, letting him get it out.
After he was done, the group decided to talk it out.
One fist fight, three long arguments and a composition book into the meeting, they had everything planned and dismissed to go get started on their plan. It wasn't very elaborate, but it was something that they figured the quiet nation would enjoy.
Set up took an hour, and America kept Canada away from home and busy the entire time.
By the time they got back to his home, the calmer of the brothers was ready to collapse.
He unlocked the door and pushed it open, still reprimanding America, who was grinning, quietly.
Once it was open, the lights flickered on again and Canada froze at the sight of the party set up.
America grinned. "Happy birthday, bro!"he said happily.
Canada looked at his brother, then at the other nations in his home. "What...?"he said, eyes wide. "You remembered?"
This got sad, apologetic smiles from most of the nations. America rolled his eyes, though. "Of course, dude!"he commented. "Now go celebrate!"
That jarred Canada and made him take a few more steps inside, enough so America could enter and close the door.
The party was a lot calmer than the planning had been. No fights broke out, no insults were thrown. It was a nice change from the meetings they usually had.
At the end of the evening, only America stayed and helped Canada clean up, since the other nation refused to let anything be until the next morning.
While they worked, Canada spoke. "America?"he asked softly.
America looked up at him. "Yeah?"
"Thank you."
America grinned. "No prob!"
That became a quick tradition for the Allies. Sometimes the neutral countries would show up as well, invited by one of them, but every year, it was just as nice of a surprise as the first.
Here ya go!
