Domestic Disturbance
Mitsuru Ikeda lay awake in his bed. Looking at his digital clock next to him, he could see that he had been
awake for half of the night. Enviously, he listened to his roomate snore softly in the bed below him, curse
Shinobu! Why can he fall asleep in ten seconds and he had to lay awake and stare at the ceiling for half of
the night? No, life wasn't very fair. Dark walls weren't that interesting anyway. Sighing and shifting
uncomfortably for the umpteenth time, Mitsuru finally climbed down fromt he top bunk to get a glass of
liquid of some sort. Perferebly NiQuil or something, yeah, that would definetly help. Turning horizontally,
Mitsuru stuck his head down to watch his roommate snooze, snore, shift, smack his lips -and other things
that people do in their sleep- with absolute jealousy. Again, he repeated that now cherished phrase to
himself over and over again in his head: Life is not fair. Life is not fair. Snorting, Mitsuru heaved himself
back up and started to climb down the bunk bed ladder. Half way to the bottom, he thought he heard a
noise. Turning around and scanning the dark room, nothing was out of place.
His homwork was laying finished on his slightly cluttered desk, uniform was folded on his chair, Shinobu
was still sleeping like a baby...still...grr...
At the bottom he turned again to faced with the most horrid looking thing ever to walk the earth. It's hair
was waving around at every angle in an invisible wind, it glowed in a strange and sickening green glow, its
face was unearthly pale and withered, where the eyes should be were gaping sockets, and its clothes were
torn and ragged. It's lips moved to produce sound but nothing came out. It was an undead spirit! Or as the
Americans called it: A FREAKING GHOST!!!
Immediately, Mitsuru gave a small shriek of horror! Immediately Shinobu woke up to rescue his roommate
and friend! (He also immediately introduced his head to the the top of the bunk) And immediately, the
horrible ghost turned into a sixteen-year old girl! Once she had laid her eyes on the handsome Mitsuru, she
gave a small shriek of happiness and danced around in supreme gusto. Shinobu eyed his roommate (and
scowled since it was his fault that he had such a rude awakening) and couldn't help but suspect that maybe
Mitsuru would have preferred a scary ghost over this one.
