Only darkness
I am very sorry if there are any mistakes (this is my first time doing this).
Rated T for Teen (I'm not sure how to rate it).
Close to 500 words.
Disclaimer- I don't own any of this (sadly)
Background- Barbara is Batgirl in this story, Robin (Dick Grayson) doesn't know that Barbara is Batgirl, and her father, Jim Gordon is away in some business and left Barbara alone.
She felt herself going away slowly. As she took her final breath, she heard Robin scream "Barbara!" Then all she saw was darkness.
Two months ago:
Barbara entered Gotham Academy. She met Dick outside of the academy, waiting for her.
"Hi Babs", he said cheerfully, maybe a bit too cheerful.
"Hey Dick", she said to him. As they entered their class and went to their assigned seats, she saw the agenda for the day. This was going to be a boring day.
Fortunately, the day passed quickly. Finally, she entered her house, alone as usual. As she was finding a channel in the tv that was interesting, she thought of Dick. She used to spend almost all her days with Dick in Wayne Manor. Now, he was 'busy' almost everyday.
She didn't know what irritated her more; she didn't hang out with Dick anymore or that Dick thought she was dumb enough to believe his lame excuses.
As she walked around her room looking for something, she heard a loud tap on her window. She moved her curtain to see Robin sitting in the tree next to her window.
"Hi Robin", she said amused.
"Hey Barbara. I just came to see how your doing", he said, while looking around her room.
"Fine. Why?" She said, frowning a bit.
"Just to see how your dealing with your father out of town", he said, while still looking.
She heard a beep coming from his utility belt. She then saw it was a small speaker.
"Robin here", she saw Robin say to his speaker.
"Your needed here in Andrew Avenue, in the corner, next to Perry's Plants. Batman out."
"Understood. I'm on my way", Robin replied.
"Stay here and stay safe", Robin told her.
Barbara just nodded in response, but right after he left, she went to her closet. She picked up a box covered in old clothes. As she opened the box, she saw the black suit with the yellow bat insignia on it.
"Sorry Robin, but Batgirl needs to be somewhere kicking some butt", she said to herself as she jumped down expertly from her window.
Suddenly she thought the day was less boring.
So that's all for me. This is probably going to be a short series, probably four or five chapters. Again, sorry for any mistakes made. It might be some time until I update, since I'm very busy these few weeks. Please review! That's all folks!
