Who are you?

Iroh set his son's lifeless back down and glared with loathing at the earth bender opposite Lu-ten. He stalked slowly to his enemy, his hatred weighing down every step he took. The bender was face down on the ground most of his armor had been singed off, Iroh had taught his son well. Behind the anger a small voice of pride peeped within him and in one swift motion he turned the mud man roughly to face him. The man or rather the boy groaned as the burns on his back contacted with the gravel. Iroh faltered the boy couldn't have been much older than Lu-ten possibly even younger than his own son. This was the enemy? The battle was a draw, Lu-ten just left a little earlier. A sound of distant footfalls slapped the battlefield, suddenly Iroh was not alone. He then realized the sound of running feet wasn't distant just small and soft enough to sound like it. A little girl judging by the hairstyle the child wore banged her tiny fist against his fire nation armor. She stopped at her fourth punch; the armor had hurt her hands. She threw her little body over the boy and sobbed. Iroh could barely make out her exact words but it didn't matter, he knew what she was asking. Iroh made his way to his son's body and heaved the lifeless Lu-ten over his shoulder. He slung him over the rhino-horse and rode southeast, home. He didn't look back once.

When the girl's sobs subsided a few the earth boy stirred "Don't cry, mei mei" He begged his little sister. She stopped abruptly at the sound of his voice "You're alive, I'll get help!" she said rising. He brother held her with what little strength he had.

"Stay. I won't be here that long"

"Don't say that!" she begged as more tears flowed down her face

"Oh, please don't cry. I never want to see you sad. I want to remember you as my sweet bratty little sister who's always so carefree and dim"

"Who are you calling dim!?!" She asked mustering up a smile

"You. Silly dim sister…"he trailed off as his eyes fluttered

The wind carried his last words…

"Silly little Jin"

Jin never did see the fire nation soldier who had spared her life but in her heart she would never forget his mercy while he would never forget her love for her brother and that it mirrored his own for his son.

The end…

A/N: I don't know why so much people dislike Jin. So she had Zuko's first on screen kiss, so what? It was bound to be taken anyway. I like her. She as cheerful as Zuko is…emo. In fact Jin should be every fan girl's dream. She's a mysterious pretty girl who appeared out of no where and apparently captured Zuko's heart. Have fun with it! Make her an alien, a princess, a dai li agent, a runaway, a descendant of some previous avatar…How can anyone especially potential writers not love Jin? She's a partially clean slate. The person who she is has so many blanks we can have fun filling out. And about the whole "big boobs" thing, that's probably an animation glitch like Zuko's missing muscles in season 2 episode The Earth King. Yes, people as great as the creators of ATLA are they are capable of making animation glitches.
