So I recently had a poetry unit in a class and I got attached to this poem style called a "Pontoum" (which is really surprising because my track record has always been anti-poetry all the way). I wanted to have some fun and write a few outside of my assignment requirements and I thought this scene would be good. I have to say I'm exceptionally surprised at how well I think it turned out. I wanted to share it with everyone so I'm posting it. If anyone has any requests for other poems I'd be happy to fulfill those to the best of my ability. As a disclaimer I don't own Fairy Tail, but this poem is totally mine. ;P
Always Chasing
It seems I'm always chasing after him.
His note in hand, I run through the streets,
hoping to catch him,
though I know he's already gone.
His note in hand, I run through the streets.
Tears blur my vision.
Though I know he's already gone
I can't stop running.
Tears blur my vision,
and my lungs burn for air.
I can't stop running.
If I do I'll be alone again.
and my lungs burn for air,
as I follow him away from Hargeon.
If I don't I'll be alone again.
I'm finally headed for Fairy Tail.
As I follow him away from Hargeon,
hoping to catch him.
I'm finally headed for Fairy Tail.
It seems I'm always chasing after him.
