AN. Dumbledore's thoughts after Fudge ignores his advice.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Voldemort has risen again.
He is gathering his supporters to him and I am sure the killings will start again, the dark mark will soon be seen above too many
ruined houses. I have tried to tell Fudge this but he does not want to believe. People never believe thigns you tell them that they
don't want to hear. Because Fudge has chosen to ignore this, Voldemort will not be easily stopped. United we stand but divided
we fall. We are divided and the dark mark will soon be more than a bad memory.
Already a student of Hogwarts has fallen victim to Voldemort, how many more must die before Fudge will listen to me? Too
many, too many have already died and more will follow due to Fudge's stupidity. He asks me for advice, but if that advice is not
pleasant to him, he ignores it. The unpleasant advice is always the important advice.
He has also made our defeat even more likely by giving the dementor's kiss to Barty Crouch junior before we had time to get
enough information from him. He will not remove the dementors from Azkaban. He will leave, guarding Voldemort's closest
supporters, creatures who would join Voldemort without a second thought or any pangs of concience. Yet Fudge continues to
ignore what is happening. He is too short-sighted, he cannot see beyond the end of his own nose. It is someone like this who
will surrender us all to the dominion of Voldemort. If this does not stop, the dark mark will fly over London and we will all be
slaves of the dark power.
I cannot allow Fudge to continue like this, but what can I do? I have sent emmiseries to the giants but the few giants that are
left will not avail us. We must try to convince the ministery that the denger is real. Perhaps I should persuade Harry to go to
the ministery, have a truth spell put on him and then tell them what he saw. Fudge could not argue with that.
I will not help Fudge anymore. He has made his own bed and now he can lie in it. When the dark mark begins to rise into the
heavens as it did twenty years ago, he will see what he has done. Mnay people will have died though before Fudge will finally
allow action to be taken by then it will be too late.
Fudge only thinks about his popularity, now, he will be remembered as the minister who ignored Voldemort's second rise to
power while it could still be prevented. The next few years will be a dark time. No one will be safe, no one will be above
suspicion.
Whilst we all cower from the dark mark, Fudge will still be denying that Voldemort is a threat. He will condemn more people
to suffer and die at his hand whilst he blusters and stalls for time. He will place more importance in his own reputation than
the people dying around him.
And I, Albus Dumbledore am powerless to do anything. I must sit back and watch all of our hard work undone.
