Author's Note: A really short one.
In the beginning Tyki sometimes wondered how his life would have gone if he did not carry Noah's memory. Not driven by visions and an old hatred written in his blood. Would he have been different at all?
Perhaps he would have worked in the mine with his group for no reason other than money, and swindling others with card games. Would he have met them at all without his Noah side?
He'd wonder about the possibilities as he watched their enemies die by his hands. Would he have flinched at the idea of killing humans? Or found regret in their deaths?
He wondered if he, too, would have found the akuma horrifying. Would he have encountered them at all?
He wondered too, if he was the only one of both sides who thought of such things. Perhaps such thoughts slid across when the exorcists realized the Noah were human, and when the Noah's remembered their past. He, personally, rarely thought of his own faded past.
As the end and the completion of the Earl's plans came near, he found such thoughts began to fade. They never truly had place after all.
What I love, I destroy. I love humans.
Author's Notes: The line, "What I love, I destroy. I love humans." came from Timcanpi translations.
The title is a tarot reference. The King of Wands can represent someone ready to lead and/or inspire you. An ironically appropriate description for the Millennium Earl.
