AN: I do like these prompts :-) Hurrah for the holidays coming up, but boo to the exams and projects. Hmm, maybe I should write more with this ship?

Happy holidays!

Title: Time for a Wedding

Word Count: 569

Summary: "Hypothetically, would you consider this a date?" James joked. For RubyRed950. A vignette

"Hypothetically, would you consider this a date?" James joked as they danced. He flashed Lily a charming smile as she rolled her eyes. "You don't even have to go to work today and tomorrow," he added.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, her fingers playing with the messy hair at the nape of his neck. "Let me think about that," she said, smiling. Lily put on a good show of thinking like she would during exams. "During our wedding…we don't have to work? Preposterous!"

James laughed and twirled her under his arched arm. She then rested in his arms as the vertigo began to fade away. He leaned his mouth close to her ear, whispering more words. "And after this we get a vacation."

"Oh?" Lily splayed her fingers over the knuckles of his hand. "Where to, Mr Potter?"

"Somewhere sunny, Mrs Potter." The smile on his face grew and happiness radiated from it like a miniature sun. There was a glint in his hazel eyes that could not be explained from his glasses. "I do love calling you that now."

They swayed to a slower song, bathing in the blissful peace of their new marriage. James had his arms loosely wrapped over her, his arms criss-crossing. Lily was leaning against his chest, twirling a strand of her dark red hair between her fingers. He buried his head into the junction of her shoulder and neck. She smiled. This was a perfect day, in her opinion. The wedding was fantastic, Sirius stopped chatting up the bridesmaids once the ceremony started, everyone in the Order could make it…

"James?" Lily murmured, she raised her head up slightly and squinted at what she was seeing.

"Yes, my wonderful, beautiful, Lily-Flower Potter?"

She raised an eyebrow and made a mental note to have a talk about pet names in the future. "Sirius is currently egging Frank to have a drinking contest."

Indeed the dark-haired wizard was attempting to corrupt poor, innocent Frank. The pink-faced man was trying to get away and join Alice somewhere, but Sirius was determined to make the wizard have a good time. Or what Sirius assumed what a good time was.

"Remus will stop him," James said placidly. He shrugged and fixed his crooked glasses. "Let's just enjoy our wedding, love."

That was a much better alternative to 'wonderful, beautiful, Lily-Flower Potter'. They turned around to not focus on Sirius' misadventures, and began to sway slowly to the sound of the music. He plucked a flower that was in her hair, and tickled the petals of the lily against her cheek. Lily laughed. Soon that moment was interrupted with the sound of broken glass, shouting, and Remus pleading Sirius to don't do anything stupid.

They froze on the spot, and Lily looked over James shoulder. She groaned at the mess that was happening before her eyes. "I hate your friends sometimes."
