Okay so this is my first fanfiction on here and well, I hope you guys like it, and review please.
Annabeth paired swords with Clarisse, pushing the daughter of Ares back. Clarisse ground her teeth, blocking Annabeth's strikes, moving in for a killing blow.
"Come on Wise Girl," Clarisse growled.
Annabeth's breath hitched, that was Percy's nickname for her, and Percy had been missing for months now. She felt tears escape her eyes, Clarisse noticed Annabeth and her face softened.
"Ah. I'm sorry, I know that was Percy's name for you," she said.
Annabeth was taken back, Clarisse never apologized, "Can we just finish this later?"
"Yeah, later."
Annabeth out up her sword, glancing back at Clarisse who was searching for her next victim. Annabeth walked past the cabins, stopping only briefly at cabin three. She walked on, slowing when her feet hit the beach's sand.
Annabeth stopped when she was waist deep in the ocean water. She skimmed her fingers over the top, standing her ground as waves attempted to push her back.
"Please come back to me," she whispered.
She stared out at the open water, as if she watched the waves come and go Percy would come from the salty water. Annabeth cried, her face in her hands, her chest racking from the sobs.
She wanted, she needed Percy, waiting everyday only made the pain worse. But she continued to wait. Annabeth only hoped, one day, Percy would walk in with the tide. His memories untouched, her face in mind.
Piper walked up to Clarisse, who was watching Annabeth stand in the ocean, her body shuddering as she cried.
"What's wrong with her?" Piper asked.
Clarisse glanced at the daughter of Aphrodite, "She goes out there everyday. I think she's waiting for him."
"For who?"
"Her boyfriend, Percy Jackson, he's been missing for sometime now. They lead the fight against the Titan, defeated Kronos. Even gave up immortality for each other."
"Wow."
"Yeah, they've know each other since they were twelve. They finally got together. We threw them in the lake, but that little twerp, Percy, made an air bubble. So they were down there for like half an hour."
"Who's his parent?"
"Poseidon."
"That's why she's in the ocean."
"Annabeth hasn't stopped looking for Percy, she's just not the same without him."
Piper looked down at the blonde teenage girl as she sobbed, "Would you be?"
Annabeth wiped her face, slowly receding from the warm water. As she walked away, she looked one last time over her shoulder. Annabeth knew she shouldn't have been disappointed when she didn't see Percy standing in the water but she was.
"Please," she begged, one last time. "Please come back to me Percy."
