The End is the Beginning
A Draco & Ginny Story
It Takes Someone Like You
It had come to this. The once mighty Draco Malfoy has been reduced to nothing but some pathetic imbecile who did not even have the power or will to fight for his life. It was a dead end left and right, a brick wall blocking his path either way. So why not end it here? At least he can choose his own death, his own destiny, if you could even call it that. Again he eyed the mass of deep blue nothingness below him. He closed his eyes and was ready to take the plunge that marked his end.
I won't be afraid. This is the way, the only way, the way I want it to be.
"NO…" a soft whisper broke his train of thoughts.
A pair of frightened brown eyes stared into his grey ones.
"Go away." He said dismissing her plea. This was his moment and his moment alone. Images of his father, his mother, and his six and a half years at Hogwarts flashed through his mind. The montage of his life, the life that was no longer worth living. It felt life had past him without him having actually lived. It didn't matter, it will be the past soon enough.
"Please, don't do this."
"And you would know what I'm doing wouldn't you little Weasel. Get lost. This is none of your business." He screeched sharply.
Ginny sighed. Her red hair blew freely in the wind. She was alone with Draco Malfoy on the small bridge. Why was she stopping him? She hated his guts. He certainly can jump into the mouth of hell for all she cared but yet she couldn't do nothing and watch someone so young throw their life away like this. She would never let her conscious bear that thought.
"It isn't like you to do this Malfoy…"
"Again, may I ask how you can be so sure you know who I am and what I am doing. Maybe I'm just going for my after dinner swim. Just leave, it's none of your business and not your place here. Why don't you go back to your I-can-pick-my-nose-in-public and still have girls gaggling after me Potty boy and the rest of the Dream Team. Go back to your perfect life, Virginia."
"That's not fair Malfoy."
"Who said life is fair Weasley. It might come as a shock to you but not everybody has a good life as you."
"But…you have a wonderful life…you're you're you can buy anything you want. Your father is of high society and your family is well respected. You're the Slytherin head boy. You have a perfect life!"
"Don't mock me. Not everything is as it seems," Draco looked away and sighed once more. "Why am I wasting this peaceful moment with you. Go away. You don't want to witness this."
"I thought you were going for a swim…"
Malfoy turned and this time gave her a long hard look. "That's not funny. Go. Don't say I didn't warn you."
"Please Malfoy…please don't. I promise I will prove to you it's worth living. Please!"
"Don't make promises you can't keep. You don't care. No one cares."
"That's where you're wrong…"
