A/N: I don't own Harry Potter.

This is a response to the Star Challenge, prompt Canopus.

Regulus was the perfect child.

{The perfect little Pureblood}

Manners and Class

{All "Yes, ma'am"

And "Yes, sir"}

Sorted into the /right/ House

{Slytherin}

Believed all the /right/ things

{You wouldn't ever catch him

associating with mudbloods or blood traitors}

He was just what the Blacks wanted.

Sirius laughed at him

{Look at the little Mama's Boy!}

Ignored him

{I'm glad I have you for a brother, James}

Pitied him

{He's stuck with them, after all}

There was a part of Sirius,

Deep down inside,

That hated Regulus.

{Why couldn't they love Sirius like they loved him?}

Sirius was a rebel.

{Against everything his family stood for}

Carefree and Confident

{All flirting

And cursing}

Sorted into the /good/ House

{Gryffindor}

Believed all the /good/ things

{He always pranked the Slytherins

And befriended Muggleborns}

He was the one that everyone loved.

Regulus laughed at him

{Look at the stupid blood traitor!}

Ignored him

{I don't have a brother}

Pitied him

{He could've had a wonderful life}

There was a part of Regulus,

Deep down inside,

That hated Sirius.

{Why would his brother leave him behind?}

Sirius and Regulus Black, somehow,

ALWAYS

Played second fiddle to each other.
