Prologue
A lone figure sat in the sand of the beach at Camp Half-Blood as the morning sun shined onto the calm waters.
The figure sighed, having been staying up all night was finally taking a toll on him. Though, it wasn't just the night before, but many nights for many weeks now. Since the battle with Nyx's creation, he hasn't been the same.
He was Perseus and died, he came back after death in rebirth and was Percy Jackson.
He sighed again, rubbing his face to relieve his tired eyes. He remembers this. Remembers the long and tiring days and nights leading the other Guardians and watching for Artemis and her Hunters.
In both of his lives, he never really got a break. Yes, it helped that Michaela was there by his side, helping. Helping him with everything, but this feeling he feels right now...he knows it will never truly go away.
How did it end up like this...? Why can't things be normal, for once!
That is all that Perseus asks, that is all he wants.
Where was his peace?
Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes, trying his hardest to keep his tears at bay.
"Not going to happen." A new voice sounded, a new figure plopped down next to Perseus.
He laughed a bitter and sweet tone to it. How that was possible? Perseus was conflicted. Many have noticed, even Artemis wishes for her guardian to be as he used to be. But which of his self, she didn't know.
Who was he? Perseus or Percy Jackson? No one knows.
Perseus doesn't even know, so he needs to go back, "Back to how this all started..." the figure next to him commented in the silence.
Perseus stared at her. "You are going to help me...right?" He pleaded slightly.
Michaela smiled. "Of course." She took his hand in hers, and squeezed it comforting him with her presence like she always had.
Let's start at the beginning...hopefully that will help things...
