A Game With Snake Eyes:

I looked up from the book I was reading to catch a glimpse of her, thinking she would be entranced in the beauty of the priceless gown she was fingering in the shop across the street from the bookstore I was in. But I was wrong on that one. Her powerful gaze struck mine through the glass of the shop's window. I was instantly, in that moment, rooted to the spot in which I was standing, not able to move, or look away.

Her full red lips tugged at a little smile, which almost made me dizzy. I didn't know what to do. I didn't think I could smile back. Not only for fear of drooling… but because I could never smile at her in public. People would talk. And I would be punished…in an awful way.

She was turning my mind into a befuddled mess, and she knew it. Because in the moments were I was trying to figure out what to do, (smile back, nod, wave, or just turn around and ignore her), her smile got even wider, her raised her hand to wave slightly, and she gave me a wink.

I got angry then. Because she was messing with me on purpose. And she thought she could get away with it to. Well then, If that's the game were playing…

I retrieved my confidence and gave her a devilish smile and a sly wink, making sure the people around me didn't see.

Clearly she was taken aback, because she looked a little confused and then raised her eyebrows at me. So I wiggled mine at her suggestively, and licked my lips. She blushed and looked away. Success! I would always be the last one playing, and now she understood that to.

I smiled triumphantly. Though on the inside I was secretly hoping she would look back at me again. It wouldn't really hurt just to look back at her again. You know. Just to see if she was.

"Hey Draco! Lets go man!". Blaise called out to me and I couldn't look at her now that he was watching me. "Ya. Im coming.". I supposed I would just have to catch her another time…so we could finish our game.

The thought of Granger's eyes locking with mine again caused a slight smile to appear on my face as I left the shop. Maybe I couldn't be nice to her or wave, but I could defiantly tease her… and in the long run that was so much better anyway.
