Ugh

The More Boys I Meet

Ugh. What's a girl to do?

Massie fell down onto her bed, not caring that her purple bedspread got wrinkled. Why her? Was she eternally cursed with bad relationships? Petting Bean, she thought back. First there was Cam, who didn't even like her. He fell for Claire. Worse, the pre-PC Claire, with her Keds and cheap clothes. Then there was Derrington, who thought she was immature. And now Dempsey, she thought as she recounted the day.

She and the PC had strutted into school, looking cool and confident to be back in the Main Building, walking perfectly in step to Disturbia by Rihanna, Massie's new favorite song.

"Bye guys, I have to go to see Mr. Myner. I've got to finish some homework."

"Okay, see you later Dyl."

Then a B-lister Massie faintly recognized, though she couldn't quite place where from, tapped Kristin on the shoulder. "We have a meeting about getting some new uniforms for soccer."

"Okay, thanks Lily." Kristin turned to Massie. "I'll see you later Mass."

Eventually, Massie was walking the halls toward her locker alone, Alicia going to talk to Principal Burns about her announcements and Claire to talk to Cam. Feeling daring, she decided to walk to Dempsey and say hi and maybe flirt with him a little.

Shoving her pink Prada into her locker she moved along the hall. All the lockers were arranged in alphabetical order, so Block all the way to Soloman took awhile. Five minutes later she spotted Dempsey and quickly ducked onto a bathroom to check her outfit. She wore skinny jeans from Seven and DKNY shirt, purple for good luck on her first day back in the MB. Jacob, her stylist, had put her hair into perfect layers and her make-up was natural looking, just a hint of grey eyeliner, blush, mascara, and the newest Glossip Girl, strawberry banana smoothie. The PC had rated her a 9.9.

Smiling a huge, but totally genuine smile, she walk over to Dempsey, who was taking his first class books out of his locker. She tapped him on the shoulder. He turned.

"Oh, hi Mass!"

Massie pulled back in shock. "Dempsey, are you a railroad station?"

"No," he asked, looking confused.

"The why do you have train tracks going through your mouth?"

"Oh, yeah! Apparently, I have an under bite. But, that's okay. I don't think my new girlfriend will mind." He smiled.

Massie gasped. They had gone on only two dates, but was he asking her to be his girlfriend, right here and now?

"Coral?" Dempsey said, smiling so big that not only his braces-clad top teeth showed, but also his braces-clad bottom teeth showed too. Strawberry appeared at his slide from what seemed to be nowhere. Her hair was no longer pink, but now a dark brown. She had re-dyed it. She was wearing Wal-Mart jeans and a pink Limited Too t-shirt.

"Strawberry?" Massie asked, shocked.

"Well, I'm actually trying to go back to Coral now. Strawberry was…last year's nickname. It'll depend on what color I dye my hair this year. Maybe, since the pink was so bright, I'll go with a neutral color, like—"

"Like I care!" Massie stomped off, not even bothering to snap a comeback at the little…

She told the PC that he had braces, but tried to make it seem like he only started dating Strawberry after she dumped him. She didn't wan anyone to know she had been dumped for an EW! Sure, she hadn't really been dating Dempsey, but it still hurt.

I close my eyes

And I kiss that frog

Each time finding

The more boys I meet, the more I love my dog!

As Massie listened to the Carrie Underwood song she'd found on iTunes. She patted Bean on the head. It was all too true.

A/N Yeah, I know it kinda sucked, and it was really short, but I tried. The song The More Boys I Meet really is a good one, and I was listening to it and it just gave me this idea. Flame if you want, I guess.
