I don't FMAB of any of it's characters.
The wooden floorboards creaked slightly with each step as a man cradled a bundle in his arms in the late night(or early morning). He hummed a random tune, soothing the small child. She would move or giggle slightly every once and a while, but her father never stopped gazing lovingly at the baby. He swayed and stepped in light circles, avoiding pieces of furniture along the way. He leaned forward and kissed her forehead before resuming his silent dance. Eventually, the newborn was lulled to sleep.
When he noticed a figure at the base of the staircase, he stopped and looked in the direction. It was who he expected, but she had a faraway look in her Sapphire-blue eyes.
"Winry?"
Interrupting her thoughts, she gasped lightly, then wiped a few unseen tears out of her eyes. "E-Ed," she walked over to the two, " sorry," and kissed them both.
They both laughed nervously before taking a glance at their daughter.
She was almost the spitting image of Edward, except when she opened her eyes for the first time. When they saw her different colored eyes(right eye was blue and left was amber), the only thing Ed could say was, "Th-that's so cool!" As childish as it may seem, it really, really, was cool.
"Kara looks older already..." Ed whispered to her.
She gave him a sarcastic smile, "She's only 5 weeks old, Edward," He shrugged it off, anyhow.
"Still.."
"Don't let this shock you." She giggled.
"I know," He sighed, sadly.
They let the moment last a tad longer; this could be the last time they'd do this for a looong time.
