"Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted."- Psalm 25:16
Five young boys were watching the Professor Oak. Two older and two younger. The blue eyed one was jolting down notes. While the red eyed one was watching calmly. The one with red hair, was trying to not scare off a small Butterfree next to him. The other two were watched the scene excitedly. The Professor was training a Pokémon, a recently caught Bulbasaur. It was this scene that made Bkue want to train and study Pokémon. And it was what started to get Red interested.
A red eyed kid was watching battle between two trainers with Rattatas. Tail whip was commonly used. But the game changer happened in a few seconds. Suddenly the grey clothed trainer snapped his fingers twice. The Rattata hit its opposition with a Hyper Fang. The light colored Rattata fainted. Because of this, Red started strategizing. He started getting his plans ready for when he got his license.
The rivalry between Red and Blue escalated as they found out each other's Pokémon inclined interest. Professor Oak tried to get the two to work together. And begrudgingly, the two did partner at times. Both were prodigies, but in different aspects. Both understood the Pokemon Oak had better he did. The main differences were that Red was the better strategist, while Blue the best at raising Pokémon stats and teaching his Pokemon moves.
Red winced at the bright lights. Blue was waiting on the other side. The rivals simultaneously threw their Pokémon. Several minutes later, a mutual faint happened. They were down to their last pokeballs, the rivals threw them. A Jolteon and Pikachu angrily growled and sparked at each other.
Icy winds blew past a red jacket. The champion struggled through. Snowflakes whirled past and eventually off the mountain. Another day without a challenger. The trainers coming to face him seemed to diminish over the last year.
"I'm going to be the best! Just watch me!" "Watch out for me! I'll beat you!" "No way!" Ash and Gary used to argue, the same sayings every time. Now, Ash looked looked at his Pikachu. A smile spread across his face. He'd be the best some day, but for now he was content traveling.
A amber eyed trainer had beat him. Red disappeared into the fog. Red would come back in a week to challenge Gold. He'd take week to visit his home, and to train against Blue. And Red also had to catch up on the world around him. Somethings happened while he was gone.
Gold had managed to survive Mt. Silver for a week. He glanced at the path, his eyes widening as he saw a flash of red.
The red and black figure grew larger as he approached. Red stood at the other side of the battle field. A gloved hand holding a pokeball. Gold grinned, Red giving a smirk in response. Gold lost.
Gold became Red's protege. A mutually beneficial friendship was formed as well. Blue started training again, this time with Red and Gold. Meetings would be held, usually in Kanto. Silver would sometimes join them for a meet up. The red head was often times traveling around other regions.
Silver and Red were battling. Silver was slowly but surely losing. Silver lost his balance as the mountain shook from the battle. The red head tched as he lost. Silver crossed the field with a frown. A clap on the shoulder broke Silver out of his thoughts. Red nodded and smiled at him. Silver rolled his eyes. "You don't need to patronize me."
Ash was climbing Mt. Silver. It wasn't legal for him to do so. But he didn't care. So what if he didn't have all eight badges, he was looking from someone. Ash sharply drew breath as he saw the red figure at the other side of the battle field. The amber eyed teen ran up the steps, taking them two at a time. Red smiled. "So you finally got here. It's good to see you...little brother."
