Selina rested her head on Bruce's shoulder and groaned as she heard the familiar swoosh entering the cave that could only mean the arrival of one person. She'd been so close to getting her way. Bruce's arms tightened slightly as if he wasn't quite ready to release her from her position in his lap. She lifted her head and gazed in to beautiful blue eyes that had not yet shifted into Batman mode. Her eyes flicked up over the back of the Batcomputer's chair to see a frowning Superman hovering in the air. She sighed and brushed her lips gently over Bruce's.
"You know where Dick and I are going to be." She smiled softly and brushed a hand into his hair. "We plan to be at the restaurant for 6. Maybe you can meet us there at least?"
Bruce nodded and his arms relaxed, freeing Selina from his grasp. She slid off his lap with no small amount of regret. Bruce had been smiling, almost ready to go out for the afternoon with her and Dick before the Boy Scout showed up. She brushed imaginary wrinkles out the skirt of her sundress as her eyes narrowed at Clark.
"So nice of you to drop in unannounced." She muttered.
"I didn't know I needed your permission, Selina." Clark bit out as he floateded over to stand next Bruce.
"What do you want, Clark?" Bruce, in full Batman mode now, asked. Selina smirked at him and started to walk away.
"I need you to check some data."
"You couldn't have just sent it to me?" Bruce questioned. "You had to show up here?"
Selina had reached the bottom of the stairs. Before Clark could answer Bruce, she turned and called to him. "Oh by the way Boy Scout. Thanks."
He responded out of the ingrained politeness his parents at taught. "You're welcome." He paused. "For what?"
She had continued up the stairs so her response was tossed back over her shoulder. "For screwing up so bad that the Justice League thinks Bruce looks like 'Father of the Year'."
Clark stared up after her for a moment. In a horrified voice he said to Bruce. "You told her?"
Selina's mocking laughter floated down the staircase and into the cave. Bruce merely smirked at computer.
