Hello~ First- wait no... First Kingdom Hearts fic and first poetry fic. I wrote some Bleach and Death Note stuff but took them off the site. I really have confidence issues in my prose! Dx but atleast I love my poetry. Review and... don't flame. espeicially if it's only because you hate the pairing... I know it's not canon but I love this pairing :C also note I've only played through KH II up to the Xemnas scene, and have watched the ending on youtube. I've played some of the first game,Re:CoM and 365 as well but I haven't finished playing any of the games. Therefore, If I'm somehow extremely incorrect, it may be because I haven't finished playing the games. If not tell me... although I don't really care all too much for spoilers...

If you liked it tell me ^-^ I might make this an ongoing RikuXKairi poetry and drabble dump!

Love, Bootsie; an Ex-Kingdom Hearts and Cosplay fanatic.

The Princess and her dark knight,

It was so wrong,

And it felt so right.

The Prince isn't home,

And he'll never know.

Let's hope he got lost

into the deep snow.

When the sky meets the sea,

It's as perfect as can be,

But when sea met the land,

The sky seemed so bland.

The Prince is in the light,

The Knight is in the dark,

The Princess is somewhere way too far out of their sight.

And maybe all of their memories,

Few left written in diaries,

What if they were all a lie?

What if they were all left out to die?

In darkness, his smiles were all fake.

He was trying to hide

His heart was going to break.

"I'll save her myself" He'd say proudly.

But now to himself, he's his only enemy.

He's thinking that he'll never get the girl back,

And his heart still remains the blackest of the black.

"Kairi, please. Kairi, dear. Please save me!"

This has to be just another bad dream…

Because now things are worse than they seem…"

And he's being left behind.

The girl he was too late to find.

Though Sora's the one she's in love with

It doesn't make Riku's feelings a myth.

Tossing and Turning

and Running and Falling

He chases after the love he's not allowed to feel.

To him

She's the only thing

That's real.

Far off,

He's the one

who's has been reaching

for her

Some form of comfort.

Only she can give.

A reason she gave him.

A reason

to live.
