I can't remember the day I lost my innocence.

Innocence, what a strange word, but to me it was important: it was a secret, quiet joy that filled my waking minutes and waited impatiently beside me while I slept, blissfully unaware of the cruel vicissitudes of fate. I was so full of life...

Now, I only know that whatever happened to me, I'd rather die than allow it to happen to another child. It is this drive alone, this fierce determination to protect the world from what I have become, that allows me to face the dread of waking up again.

And so, Fate, a toast to you. To the loss of innocence.

It shall not go unpunished.

The above section is a plot bunny that I did as a writing exercise, and for some reason or another I can't write another word on it. As such, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could take this and run with it. And by greatly appreciate it, I mean I need it like a fat kid needs cake. This bunny has been rabidly attacking me, and I can't fend it off any longer. Someone needs to fight back, and I'm resigned to the fact that it won't be me.

It doesn't matter which character says this, it could be witch or wizard. It doesn't matter when, why or how. It could be verbal, it could be in a long-lost journal, it could be a hologram for all I care. It could be written in the future, present, past, future and returned to the present, past and pushed up to the present, alternate reality... Just write something, and start with this. It can be altered a bit, broken up a bit for descriptive purposes, but please keep the spirit in tact.

No crossovers, few or no original characters, no slash please. Any length will do, as long as there are more words there then there are here.

If any one of you has a heart beating in your chest, post the story and get me a link. I need to see that something good came of this, I'm going out of my mind here...

Oh, and the next chapter of Learning to Breathe is almost ready. I could be a bastard and hold it hostage until this plot bunny is satisfied, but I'm not that kind of bastard. It will be up as soon as I can figure out where the bloody thing ends... On the bright side, I rather like it. I suppose that's the best thing about being an author, you always get to be the first one to see the chapter.

Happy hunting, plot bunny. Let's see who you bite now...
