Killer.
That is the first time it happens but it surely isn't the last time she has these moments within the confines of her own bathroom. She is going mad and she knows it. She is not cut out for this life with the Salvatores and the danger that comes with being one of them.
She craves the blood of the ones she loves though she knows it is wrong.
She kills mercilessly without a second thought.
It's slowly becoming worse as far as she as aware.
A visit from Klaus helps clarify the truth. She is not herself anymore. She is a monster and she is spiraling out of control. She thought that having the man that she loved by her side would help smooth the process. Turns out he is doing something that he claims as good but when it comes to dealing with their own personal devil – Klaus there is no way that it is good. He continues to claim it as such anyway.
She used to be able to trust what he said, but the almost death of her brother (again) proves to set her off. It is all so very surreal that this is happening. She is becoming the one thing that she hates. Not vampire, but evil.
She is aware that there is a way to fix this. Or at least attempt to but she only knows of two ways. One is suicidal literally and the other scared her the first time. She needs the only other person she cares for. He is wicked. He makes her feel alive but she needs him. He has been through this before. He can help her.
He seems so surprised when she comes to him. The last time he had tried to help her, she grew upset and promised to not want it. Things have changed, he knew. Damon Salvatore loves her and is willing to help. He had promised his brother that he wouldn't interfere anymore unless it was a life or death situation. He couldn't help thinking that it has come to that.
He cups her face and looks into the eyes of the woman he loves. He presses a kiss on her forehead as he tells her, "okay."
The next morning they are gone. It is time to fix this, for real this time.
He hopes it works. He can't stand the way she trembles when she is feeling emotional. He loves her even during these times. She didn't give up on him and though her choice had been made again. He will help. It is his duty to her and reluctantly he admits to Stefan – his brother.
After that he will think about what he should do. Maybe he'll leave forever this time. He knows that this time will be well spent if that's what he decides. For now he needs to be here for her. It's something he silently promised he would do.
He has to.
I felt like I should write this. Might really make it into something if anyone likes it enough. Leave any thoughts you may have in the box below.
