Moviestar

As Erin entered Molly's she seemed pretty angry. As fast as she could she took a drink and took the place right in front of him. He has asked her, if everything was alright but she said he should ask her again after she had a drink. Jay thought that she was babysitting this night, at least Antonio had told them that she would.

They were all chatting but Jay always checked up on Lindsay who was just drinking her fifth beer and even if she was smiling he could tell that something was wrong with her. But she didn't want to talk about it. But whatever it was, it still bothered her.

Halstead cleared his throat and bent over the table to his partner. „Hey", he started softly, „you want to talk about it?" His gazed to the others but they were still chatting so they didn't pay much attention to him.

Erin looked up and shook her head.

„No. Not really."

She was pissed. She was angry about Nadia and about herself! Why couldn't she help this poor girl like Voight helped her? Why couldn't she saving her? Nadia was so close to it and then, right before, she gave up? She thought she wasn't strong enough and Erin knew exactly how this feeling was but she also knew that Nadia could make it. Like she did. Lindsay wanted to help her so bad, but you couldn't rescue someone who doesn't want to be saved.

Erin sighed and took a huge sip out of her glas.

Jay bit his lips. He was worried about his colleague. He never saw her that much drinking. Even if she was trying to hide her feelings, her eyes were telling him that she was hurt. Halstead never liked it. He never liked to see when people he cares about had so much pain to deal with.

His mind was running. What he was supposed to do to made her feel better? Even if it was for this evening. And then it just popped up in his mind. He didn't think about it at all. He took a sip out of his glas, stood up and took Erins hand.

„What do you think are you doing Halstead?" she asked him confused as he led her straight into the middle of the bar.

He turned around and was smiling at her. „What do you think I am doing?" he winked as he laid his right hand on her waist and with his left hand he hold her hand and started to moving in the beat of Harpos classic Moviestar which was playing in the background.

Erins facial expression told him that she was still confused. „Relax Lindsay." he mumbled and move her back and forth.

The woman was still suprised and she didn't feel well at first because no one was dancing. They were in the center and everyone was looking at them. But Halstead didn't really care about. He spoon her around herself and she couldn't help but smiling.

„You are crazy you know that, right?" Erin asked her partner as she began to relax and following his steps.

„When I just want to comforted my friend to feel better, then I am crazy." Jay smiled right into her hazel eyes. Erin's smile was getting bigger and bigger. „You are an idiot.", she laughed and held harder on Jays shoulder because he quickened his pace and twirled them round the dance floor.

She was smiling. That was all he wanted to see. His heart beating faster as he dancing with her around and just looking into her eyes. She seemed to forget.

And she did. For three minutes Erin forgot about Nadia and her past. About the fact that she couldn't save this girl. That she couldn't save herself. For three minutes all Erin was thinking about how lovely and kind this man in front of her was. And how he was making it harder for her not to wanted him. Because Voight was right. She left a string of broken hearts behind her since she was fifteen.

And Halstead didn't deserve that. She didn't deserve him after all.
