Atlas scanned the test chamber he and P-Body stood in. They had been having a great day of testing so far, but this particular puzzle had really stumped the robot. His cyan optic looked over to his his partner P-Body. She seemed somewhat preoccupied as she wasn't paying any attention to the current task at hand.
Atlas walked over to her and tapped her on the shoulder. The taller robot flinched, surprised by the sudden contact. The shorter robot gave a series of beeps and clicks.
"Come on, we have a test to do." Atlas said in their native robot language.
"Right. Sorry." P-Body replied. Atlas cocked his head.
"Is something wrong?" He asked. P-Body's optic dilated in thought, debating whether or not to speak of what troubled her. After all, it would be silly for a robot to be concerned with such a frivolous thing. Only humans bothered themselves with issues such as this.
"I wish GLaDOS had built me so that I was less fat." She confessed. Atlas was taken aback by this statement. He didn't think she was fat in the slightest.
"But you aren't fat!" He declared. The orange eyed robot scoffed at this. She stood a bit straighter, exposing her 'belly' to him.
"Are you joking? Look at me!" She cried out. Atlas squinted for a moment. He scratched his head in thought, his optic's shutters forming a smile.
"Show me again." He ordered. P-Body repeated the action obediently, only to have her partner poke her softly in this region. She jumped back with a start, giggling because of how much it tickled. Atlas chuckled, poking her again and again. The two chased each other around the test chamber for minutes on end, laughing and poking and then laughing some more.
"What are you doing?" GLaDOS asked out of nowhere. "Honestly, you're getting more and more human by the minute. Stop that at once." She commanded. The two robots shrugged and picked up their portal guns. Shooting each other a friendly glance, they smiled. Atlas and P-Body silently agreed that GLaDOS was missing out on something great.
