A drabble requested by Kathleen for Jake telling off Eli. I like this. I like Big Brother Jake and I really hope we don't see Jake rollerblazing with Eli anytime soon. This is a ONE SHOT.

Jake was looking for Eli everywhere. The guy seemed to be all around the school filming that zombie film and when he tried finding him he was nowhere.

After asking several bloodied students he spotted Eli at the garden eating lunch with Fiona and Imogen. Before approaching Eli, Jake took a few deep breaths. He knew about his and Clare's break up and he wasn't happy about Eli breaking Clare's heart but this conversation wasn't about Clare. He wasn't going to get into that right now.

When Jake was ready he slowly approached Eli, waving to Fiona and Imogen when he caught their attention.

"What's up man?" Eli asked him, moving aside to allow him a seat.

"Nothing, I just…can I talk to you in private?" Jake said quietly.

Fiona and Imogen looked at each other before packing up their things. "Guess big brother's not so happy," Fiona jokingly whispered to Imogen as they left.

Eli was looking at him with a curious face and Jake cleared his throat before he began. He didn't know how to say this easily so he chose the blunt approach.

"If you're gonna keep using, keep me out of it."

"What?" Eli asked. "Using…pot?"

"No, no," Jake said. "Whatever with pot. But the stuff…from the rave…look, that dealer you have, that girl, tell her not to come up to me and give stuff to you. If you want to use, keep me out of it. Keep it away from me, keep it away from Clare, just—"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm not…I'm not doing that, anymore!"

"Well you don't have a good track record so—"

"What the hell man?" Eli shot up from his seat and stood in front of him. "I'm not talking to Talia. I didn't ask her for anything. I don't know why she was talking to you, maybe she heard you—"

"Oh, don't put that on me. She asked for you specifically," Jake scoffed. "Told me to give a tiny bag to you. Look, I don't care what you do, just tell her not to come up to me."

"Fine, done!" Eli agreed angrily. "Jeez man, you're accusing me of being a druggie. Thought we were friends."

"Dude, you did MDMA, twice," Jake said slowly to emphasize his point. "You humiliated my sister around this school, I hope you didn't think that'd I'd be cool with that," Jake said. At this point he was staring Eli down, talking quietly but sternly, since there were other students still around. "I know you went through a lot but it doesn't make your actions right. You don't get a free pass even though Simpson gave you one. "

"Why are you acting like some sort of saint?" Eli asked.

"Pot is not the same as ecstasy, so don't even start," Jake said back. "I don't make a complete ass of myself but doing it at school. I'm not stupid."

Eli remained silent but kept glaring at Jake. Unfazed, Jake continued his rant. "Clare doesn't deserve to get hurt like she did. Her boyfriend's the one who makes the mistakes but she's the one who gets hurt? Whatever. She's finally coming around, so just stay away from her until you've dealt with what you're dealing with. And I wasn't coming here to attack you about Clare. All I wanted was to tell you to keep Talia away from me but I'm glad I told you that you're wrong because it seems that you don't hear that enough."

Having said everything he needed to Jake grabbed his backpack and stormed out of the garden. But before leaving he stopped and turned to say one last thing. Eli's face hadn't changed from it's pissed off expression and this only made Jake smirk as he spoke.

"Maybe you should rethink who the problem is."
