Mion anxiously stepped off the plane for the first day of the rest of her life. She had anticipation forced upon herself by the long flight. She pushed her pins and needles and headed into the yellow car that would urge on the future.
"Where would you like to go today?" asked the driver
She did not respond, partly to be ominous, and partly because she didn't know any English.
"Ahh, one of those international students taking away Aussie places. You're good for money, but what do you care about us? Love it or leave it!"
She still maintained her gaze, not knowing that she was not welcome.
"Whatever, University it is."
The scene painted itself. A large group of people wearing the same white polo shirt with a popped collar. Cars in shock, not knowing the rules, just as she was in her seat. A cloudy haze on a sunny day. Then she entered the campus. She was overwhelmed by the sandstone, looking over her shoulder to ensure that she wouldn't be swooped by the gargoyle. But she was also in a sanctuary, the green color contrasting the drab grey of the city. She was at home.
"That will be $6.25 thanks."
She walked off into the landscape that would hopefully soon become familiar.
The house where she would be staying was just up ahead.
"OI! ARE YOU GOING TO PAY?"
She caught the gaze of someone nearby. He reminded her of Keiichi upon first glance. Perhaps he followed her here. Except he had blonde hair. She was immediately taken in, and walked over, ensuring she looked right in her clothes.
"How much for a BJ?" he asked.
She took in the profound beauty of his piercing gaze, juxtaposed by his dreamily harsh accent. Her tomboyish demeanor was nowhere to be seen.
"Will 10 bucks cover it? It's all I've got at the moment"
His stature, his strength of language. She walked towards him and put her hand out.
"Score! Let's go!"
She was taken into his car, which headed towards a graffiti filled suburb. A new class to move up in, she thought. They parked in a deserted park, and he unzipped his trousers.
"You know what to do here."
She was confused at the situation. Things usually took much longer to get to this stage. The speed of life.
Mion, slightly worse for wear, lay down in the park as the car drove off. She prayed for the day he'd see her again. She shut her eyes after the tiring experience, and fell asleep under the bright southern stars.

"Hello? Wake up." sounded a low, brooding voice
Mion woke up to a white room. She felt a long tube down her throat. It never stops down here
"Whoever you are, I'm Detective Constable Koch and there's a few questions I'd like to ask you if that's ok?"
"Mhmhmmmhm"
"Oh, sorry, I should take the tube out… Anyway, we're sorry but we have to break it some time, so I'm going to be as blunt as possible. You were raped in Century park approximately one week ago. You were then beaten and killed, or so he thought."
She gave a neutral expression.
"Anyway, we believe it's part of a series of attacks. We've been trying to track a man down who has been raping and murdering women with green hair. It is quite likely then that you were his next victim. Did you get an idea of what the man looked like?
She smiled
"Please help us, it will stop him in his tracks and stop other women receiving the same fate."
She maintained the smile
"Maybe there'll be a better time. It's quite a shock having no legs after all."
She laughed, then went back to sleep. It was going to be a great year.
