How did i get myself into this? Annabeth asked herself as she gripped the sides of the skating rink for dear life.
Alright, let us back track to how our poor daughter of Athena got into this situation in the first place. Well seeing as it was winter break, her caring and good intentioned boyfriend, Percy Jackson, said that they should go ice skating. She knew it was because of how stressed she had been lately from all the pressure of having to rebuild Olympus and seeing how nice of a person she was she agreed to go. Not telling him she had never skated before in her life.
Now we are back in the present, where poor Annabeth is tripping over her numb feet and Percy is skating like a pro. And being the smart ass kind of guy he is, he couldn't help himself from skidding next to her by the wall and smirk as he said, "Well, well, well. so the Wise Girl doesn't know how to do something!"
She shakily got to her feet, though still bending over so as not to fall, and tripping half of her explanation she angrily exclaimed, " O-oh, sh-sh-uh uh-ut up-p, S-s-seawee-eed brain-na!"
He couldn't help but laugh at his stuttering girlfriend as she slipped to her knees once again.
that's it! she screamed to herself. She had allowed Percy to embarrass her long enough. As she reached for the wall once more, her chuckling boyfriend smirked at his girlfriend's red face and ice covered butt.
He slowly reached for her hand that was on the wall and bent to grab the other one. Just as Annabeth was about to yell her disagreement with it he pulled her to her feet. She blinked in confusion. Before she could even process in her mind what to say, he began slowly skating backwards while still clutching her shaking hands.
Her legs wobbled their protest to the bladed bottom shoes and tightly squeezed his hands for balance and comfort of not falling. As they weaved through the clumps of people, she finally glanced up from her now less shaky feet and into the entrancing eyes of the man she loved.
"What's the matter, Wise Girl?" He asked cockily, "Your face is glowing."
She soon turned to the floor again. The feeling was still there in the pit of her stomach, but there was another feeling starting to join it.
"Now why in the Gods names would you think something was wrong?" She asked as she yanked her hands from his grasp. "I am perfectly, AH-!"
Soon a wobbling Percy started falling face first towards his yelling lady friend. One moment they were standing in front of one another and the next she was back first on the cold ground with a black haired boy on top of her.
Soon they were only inches apart with Annabeth feeling her face getting hotter once more and defensively exclaimed, "Why did you fall?"
"What? How is this my fault? Your the one who pulled me down!" He exclaimed just as defensively.
"Oh sure, blame it on me!" She spat.
"Really? After all the trouble I went through to take you here?" He asked with an almost hurt yet still cocky look on his face.
"Yeah, and let me tell you-" But she was cut off by his lips crashing into her's. Soon their argument was forgotten.
They sat there in each others arms, melting into one another till they heard a voice call out, "Hey! This is a public ice rink! You want to start something, get a room!"
Suddenly, Annabeth wasn't the only one with a pink face.
