Hidden Powers

This is just a Dragon Ball one-shot. No lemon/adult scene, however, so sorry to disappoint you. Although I may update a few chapters later on depending on how Dragon Ball Super develops the God Hierarchy.

As always, I invent my power levels. And as everyone should already know, they won't follow V-Jump, Daishenzuu or any other source because I just hate them all.

Anyway, enjoy!

Chapter 1: Unlocked

The half Saiyan from Earth called Gohan teleported into the small green-coloured and heavier planet of King Kai, bending the space around him with the Instant Transmission technique. Goku had taught his son the helpful move during the entire year they had spent inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, in which they had managed to master their Super Saiyan powers to the fullest without any waste of energy. Of course in Earthling time it had only been one day.

The half human-alien was dressed in a purple Gi like his first martial arts trainer Piccolo adding also the white weighted clothes on his shoulders. The gravity of ten times Earth's caused the weights to increase but it didn't cause any hindrance to the hybrid, who kept moving towards the chubby sunglassed Kai. Just yesterday Gohan had received his message to come to his planet. Although it took a while, Goku helped his son find the Kai's fluctuating Ki coming from the Other World.

And that's why Gohan was currently here. The Galaxy overlooker was peacefully lying back on a beach chair. Around his elegant car a monkey and a flying cricket played around.

"Hello, King Kai." The half Saiyan greeted the Galaxy overlooker, making a small bow. He had never met the Kai before but he knew to respect authorities. The Deity turned his head around, hastily awoken from the nap.

"Wow, you are Gohan?" The Galaxy overlooker asked in surprise towards the youngster. He had seen the child on Earth back on Namek giving Frieza the good old beating. But now in front of him the kid looked more imposing as a Super Saiyan. Or a repressed Super Saiyan because his energy was staggeringly low.

"Yes, I am." The half alien rubbed his head like his father normally did. The Kai shook his head. He needed to talk about real business with the young man. The continuous wave of threats that kept almost ironically sprouting on Earth were just too dangerous to let them be.

"Anyway, I wanted to talk to you about the new threat on Earth called Cell." The North Kai confessed, getting the half Saiyan's undivided attention.

"What about him?" Gohan asked arms folding across his chest.

"Well, I saw that Goku has planned something but I'm blind to what that can be." The chubby overlooker said now, arms leisurely resting behind his back. The half alien wasn't eager to continue that train of thoughts.

"You and me both, King Kai," Gohan replied arms folded over his chest looking quite exasperated "My dad's been very cheerful even now that Earth's destiny is on the thin thread." The overlooker rubbed his chin in deep thought.

"I've always trusted Goku's ideas, as maddening as they can be," The Galaxy overlooker said now remembering that his strongest pupil could be quite a tactician even in the heat of the battle. His moment during the Frieza invasion on Namek using the techniques he had taught him like Kaioken and the Spirit Bomb were a testament to his quick thinking and wits. Although Goku's fighting mind had always been overridden by his warrior pride to test his own limits, if the last fight against Frieza as a Super Saiyan could say anything. "But at the same time, I can't, as you Earthlings say, put all my eggs in one basket alone."

"Meaning what exactly?" The half Saiyan asked with interest. If the man, or God, in front of him knew another way to take Cell down then Gohan would follow it. The Kai then hunched his head slightly forward smirking to himself.

"What if I told you, that you are actually stronger than Cell?" The plump man said now, Gohan's eyes briefly opening in surprise. "What if your powers are truly even higher than Goku's and Vegeta's put together?" The hybrid was simply speechless. While he would like to have that kind of strength to stop Cell once and for all, at the same time Gohan didn't have enough time to spend inside the Time Chamber training. The Cell Games were only twenty-four hours away.

"I would have to call you crazy." The suppressed human-alien replied with a shy smile. Amazingly, the chubby man only heartily laughed by the comment.

"Yeah, I see you are Goku's son. Always too honest for your own good," The North Kai commented after a good round of laughter. He then went back to full seriousness, with a glaze intensified by his sunglasses. "Anyway, what I've just told you it's not only true but can happen." Gohan sighed in defeat before answering.

"I know you have faith in me, King Kai. But even if I fully unleash my powers, I don't think they will be enough to make a difference." The demi Saiyan explained, a bit crestfallen. In truth, Gohan wasn't sure about what to do with Cell. His father had kept him in the dark about whatever plan he had made and the other fighters obviously didn't have a plan.

Gohan just wanted to face-palm a brick wall in frustration. He loved his father, he really did. But sometimes the man could be quite infuriating by his decisions to handle enemies.

Letting Frieza live, after he had just blown up Krillin? That had just been absurd. Even with the Namekian Dragon Balls to bring him back, why did that effeminate bastard deserve a chance to escape a dying planet and possibly come back for vengeance?...

...Wait, that was what had happened! And what did Goku do when Frieza arrive? He casually decided to let his friends, a group of five humans, one Namekian and two tail-less Saiyans to protect the planet against a stronger Robo-Frieza with a side along visit from his daddy.

Gohan really appreciated Trunks' timely arrival. It was obvious that he had been trained by someone who knew not to let the threat power up to his maximum. Can you guess who that person conveniently was?... Gohan.

Three years after that, the Androids show up. And everyone knows how that Fate roulette turned out for Earth's population. And with ten days to train before the Armageddon, what did Gohan's friends do? They laid back hoping beyond hope that Goku oh-so-miraculously held the answer or power to finish the bio-threat.

One thing Gohan had learnt over the years, everyone kept relying on his father way too much. Even Vegeta, as much as he didn't say anything.

King Kai could see the troubled face of his pupil's first born. The Kai stepped forward, looking Gohan in the way. It didn't matter that the Galaxy overlooker was a foot lower than Gohan's chin.

"Don't sell yourself short, kid. That is what is holding you back," The sunglassed man advised sagely, surprising the Saiyan hybrid why how confident he sounded. The Kai pressed on. "I saw your fight with Frieza all those years ago in Namek. Even when you knew there was no way out, you stood up and unleashed great strength to even astonish Frieza himself. That's not something less than outstanding." The Saiyan again rubbed his head by the praise.

"That's why I came up with my little idea," The Kai kept on, explaining his foolproof plan. Or as foolproof as one could get without wishing the Dragon Balls to make it that way. "I called in a few favors from my fellow Kais..."

"A few favours?" Gohan asked eyebrow raised. The plump man chuckled.

"Let's just say they are not good at Poker." The Kai replied in a whisper. The hybrid laughed by that.

"As I was saying, I found a very powerful person that can help you unleash your secret strength," The overlooker kept talking, suddenly turning around and pointing the antennas on his head towards a place light years away. "Put your hand on my shoulder and you will find out his power. Teleport there. Then, you are in his capable hands."

That sure surprised Gohan. Could it really be that easy to grow strong in such a short amount of time? Discounting the Time Chamber, the hybrid doubted it. But the victorious smirk plastered on the Kai's face did make it sound like a very, if only limited possibility to triumph over Cell.

"What if my dad tries to look for me?" The suppressed Saiyan asked.

"Don't worry about him. I will simply say you are doing some last-minute training." The Kai casually explained, Gohan briefly smiling. Knowing his father, that explanation would always suffice for anything.

"Thanks, King Kai." The suppressed fighter thanked his 'teacher' of a sort.

"Don't mention it, kid," The Kai replied, suddenly whispering to Gohan "But I do recommend you take your weights off." Gohan did so, blasting his white paddler off with ki. He didn't know why but he wasn't one to ignore a piece of advise. Besides what did he have to lose? He could just create a new heavier weighted gear with is life energy.

Feeling a distant power, which felt a lot like King Kai's if only far superior, the demi alien teleported through the fabric of space.

What the Saiyan felt instantly after rematerializing was the outstanding pressure. It was trying to pull him down to the ground but he remained standing. If he had to put a measure on the burdensome pressure, it would be at least like a hundred times Earth's gravity. But he had trained with higher gravity multipliers on the distant corners of the Time Chamber so this wasn't bothering him at all. But if he had had his weights then it would have. At least with his energy currently held inside his calm body.

The white-haired fighter looked around and was instantly marvelled by the beauty. The entire planet looked like the definition of paradise, green grass mixed with the clear blue sight of rivers. Mountain ranges ran over the surface with high widow peaks. Life was running wild in the giant unknown planet. For a moment, Gohan thought he was back on Earth.

"You must be Gohan." A voice came from behind the Saiyan, who spun around with his fighting reflexes. Gohan saw a man with a grey Mohawk hair. His skin was a bit pale and he was dressed in a weird blue outfit. It almost reminded Gohan of King Kai's. His powers were also amazing. He was stronger than Cell. How could someone like this... 'being' exist without anyone feeling his ki? And considering the planet had so much gravity, then he sure wanted to train here. At least after the Android menace had been properly dealt with.

"Yes, I'm Gohan." The Saiyan bowed in respect. He didn't know the person so showing good manners might play in his favor.

"I am the East Supreme Kai." The man introduced himself making a small bow of his head.

"Supreme Kai?" Gohan asked in confusion. While his mother made him study a lot, never those studies included the divine hierarchy of the universe. This day sure was turning useful for his intelectual mind. Not so much in growing stronger, though.

"Indeed," The Shinjin said. When he had been contacted a few days ago by the Grand Kai of the universe, he had just thought that it would be one of the usual reports concerning inhabited planets and their progress, which were handed to him every ten years in mortal lifetime. But when the white-haired Deity had been hastily informed that a threat that could possibly disrupt the balance of the universe if not handled, had been like a wake up call for the remaining Supreme being. The Supreme Kais rarely interfered in the mortal plane unless the stability of the cosmos was at stake. The last time the Supreme Kais had to personally enforce their power had been a complete massacre.

For them. The creature known as Majin Buu, the purest form of death and wickedness had awoken once more. The creature existing since the beginning of times, was a force that destroyed everything and everyone it came across. His relentless devastation was not to balance the universe but to unbalance it. Many Supreme Kai legends told of hundreds of planets had been erased in the few years the creature had been awake. That was when the Madoshi, a dying race of dark wizards had found the cocoon in which Majin Buu rested for thousands of years. And five million years ago, the last Madoshi Bibidi, re awoke the embodiment of rage to use its limitless energy and stamina to lay waste to the whole universe. The current group of Supreme Kais, the Fourth Overlookers and their Grand Supreme Kai had gathered in the hopes of finally putting and end to the disruptive monster before the universe were plunged into chaos.

Let just be said that the Supreme Kais, strongest of the Shinjins, born with Godly energy, gave their last breath to protect their home. Only to be met with death knocking on their doors. And claiming the North and West Supreme Kais first just to test the strength of the monster by Bibidi's command. The South Supreme Kai, physically the strongest of the Five, met a far worse destiny than death by one of the few coherent choices the Majin had made by itself. The Shinjin's body had been assimilated into the creature, augmenting his devastating powers even further.

Had the noble Grand Supreme Kai not given his life to be assimilated into the creature and counter the Majin's pure dark soul with his own pure heart then the East Supreme Kai would not be standing here. With Majin Buu sealed after his sudden lost in power and hubris, the remaining Shinjin had killed Bibidi and sent the cocoon into a far distant planet hoping no one could find it.

And just like that, a current threat that could potentially become as dangerous as Buu had set the time of dying for Earth. And the fate of that planet relied on the young man in front of the Shinjin. While a mortal would just consider it jest, a God like him could see the power flowing within the youngster. Such levels of strengths that even Supreme Kais wished to be able to possess but couldn't due to their bodies not been fitted to battles like warriors were.

"I apologise for my suddenness but we might not have time for more proper introductions. For what I've heard, you are on a deadline," The Supreme one commented and the suppressed Saiyan nodded. This guy went straight to the point. Finally Gohan found someone, who knew that threats were to be taken seriously "Please, follow me." The Supreme being took off in the air and Gohan tagged along.

They both flew for some minutes until reaching a fifty-feet tall rock pillar. There was a sword embedded on the rock. The holster

"This Gohan, it's the Z-sword." The pale-skinned being said towards the half Saiyan.

"Is it powerful?" The white-haired fighter asked, walking around the sword, checking it out like a very exotic thing. Which kind off was. "Because Cell can regenerate and I don't think a sword can stop him for that long." The Supreme Kai shook his head.

"It's not about its power but rather what is inside," The Mohawk-haired man said getting Gohan's attention into him "Better said, 'who' is inside." The Saiyan rose an eyebrow by the statement. Then his mind came to the conclusion.

"There's someone trapped inside the sword?" Gohan asked, eyes wide in utter shock. Talking about weird things in life. And that was saying a lot for the first hybrid Saiyan born in the last thousands of years.

"Indeed, and the sword was long ago charmed so no Supreme Kai could free him." The Supreme Kai explained.

"So I have to pull it out and break it?" The white-haired Gohan asked and the Shinjin nodded. The hybrid stretched his neck a bit getting the cramps out of him. "Sounds easy enough." The Saiyan clutched the exposed handle with both hands and pulled. Or he tried. Because the sword didn't budge an inch. The half alien let go after a few minutes of pointless efforts. Holding back his true strength wouldn't do the job here.

With a yell of incredible power, the white-yellowish haired Saiyan unleashed his suppressed energies swirling around him in a mighty jagged golden aura. The ground trembled for miles, boulders cracking and mountain hills falling down to pebbles. The Kai had to protect his face with his arms from the ki wind that the youngster was creating just by powering up. At last Gohan had unleashed the full power of a Super Saiyan.

After a few seconds the ground stopped trembling now Gohan's body shinning with a golden hue, his body bulked up a bit, veins pocking his hard skin and his eyes shinning bright green.

"Let's play!" The Saiyan said with a smirk, now his strength amplified to the limit. Again grabbing the legendary sword the full-powered fighter pulled at the apex of his might. The rock pillar was shaking to its foundations almost tearing itself appart by the staggering power of the young Saiyan.

With a yell, the half Saiyan finally unleashed the sword from its sheath. The sword was quite heavy but not for the Super Saiyan. Grabbing the handdle and the sharp tip, the glowing fighter brought the blade down on his knee cap, shattering it down to thousand pieces.

"Well done, Gohan!" The Supreme Kai said happily, Gohan slowly reverting back to normal black hair and leaving the sword shards on the grass.

"Now what?" The young warrior asked. He didn't feel any stronger than before.

"Now I happen." That voice came from behind Gohan. The half alien spun around to see an old man, his face covered in a lot of wrinkles. He was dressed in a similar outfit like the first Supreme Kai. He also had the same yellow earrings.

"Ancestor!" The East Supreme Kai exclaimed and made a bow towards the old man. It had long been known that a Supreme Kai had been locked away inside the weapon. And yet no Shinjin had dared to come close to the pillar due to the fear of possible repercussions by freeing the Old Kai.

"Don't make so much fuss for that. I was trapped in the Sword before you were even born," The wrinkled man waved off his descendant. "And it wasn't that bad. I had a lot of room to stretch my legs." Gohan couldn't help but smile. This old man sure was bizarre to just shrug off the fact he had been a prisoner for millions of years. Inside a SWORD, mind you.

"You! get over here," The wrinkled man said towards Gohan. The young Kai back stepped letting his ancestor do his job. The Saiyan did as told and walked closer to the apparent old Supreme Kai. The same old man was now walking around the young Saiyan like analysing him with X-rays or something like that "Yes, I can detect you have great powers hidden inside you. Must be because of your unique genetic make up."

"Excuse me sir, but who are you?" Gohan asked. The man knew quite a lot about the hybrid without the young man having to explain he was a hybrid. Was he a psychic or something?

"I'm the Supreme Kai from fifteen generations ago." The Old Kai answered, still scrutinising the human-alien in front of him. Not the first Saiyan he had seen but one of the weakest for sure. He still lacked the two strongest stages of Saiyan strength.

"And what are you going to do, exactly?" The black-haired hybrid asked again.

"I'm going to unleash your secret powers with an ancient ritual," The man replied coughing slightly. He casually sat, his hands raising. Gohan now had two open palms pointing at him "So you better take a sit because this will take us twenty-five hours."

"Twenty five hours?!" Gohan blurted out like if the man had grown another head. The Cell Games were only one day away. And even if his father were able to hold Cell back for an hour, Gohan doubted that the bio-android would play a fair game.

"And if you don't sit it will take much longer!" The man yelled back, causing Gohan to sit right away. The Old Kai sat in front of his student and rose his hands. He started enchanting in a language Gohan had never heard before. Although undetected by most, Gohan could see and sense some minor changes in the air currents around his frame. Like if the ki of everything; grass, water, rocks, was been slowly driven into his body.

After a few minutes of an eery silence, the Saiyan decided to ask something that had been buggering him since meeting the Supreme Kai.

"Um, excuse me Old Kai," The old man opened his eyes and looked at the Saiyan. "Can I ask you how is the hierarchy on the Other World? You see, I know the North Kai is the one that watches over Earth. But then I found out about the Supreme Kai and I pretty much got lost after that."

"It's both simple and complicated, kid," The Old Kai started his explanation, glad that a mortal was actually interested in these stuffs. As much of a pain in the head as it was to fully grasp and even harder to accept. "Each planet, mostly those with species, which have developed rationality have one Kami overlooking them," Gohan rose an eyebrow. So that explained Kami's name. "Above them stand the Kais. The one you call King Kai is actually the North Kai, which means he watches over the northern quadrant of the universe and all the galaxies there. There are three other Kais: South, East and West, all of them with their own sector to look after. Above their planets stands the Grand Kai, who supervises their job."

"Alright, I think I get the idea." Gohan commented but was instantly silenced.

"Let me finish!" The Old Kai blurted, causing the eleven-year-old kid to nod after covering his sensible ears from the high-tune oral lashing "Anyway, above the Grand Kai are the Supreme Kais, myself included. Like the Kais, there are four, one for each quadrant of the universe and a Grand Supreme Kai to supervise them. However, we Supreme Kais also stand guard over the same sector of the Other World."

"So the mortal world and Other world are split in quadrants?" Gohan noted. The nod of response answered the young man's question.

"It's also from the Supreme Kais that the universe has life." It took a few moments for the information to settle in Gohan's brain.

"How come?" The hybrid asked now more curious than ever.

"You see, Shinjins like myself emanate a particular life force different from ki. That energy spreads over the universe sprouting new planets and new species on them," The old man explained. "Due to the great extension of our places to oversee, we Supreme Kais don't interfere directly in mortal affairs, usually working through our subordinates Kais and Kamis. Our duty in the whole scale is not only to create life in a planet but also keep progress of its evolution."

"And then the Hakaishin destroys the planets." The Old Kai stated. Gohan noted how he and the East Supreme Kai shuddered in visible terror.

"Hakaishin?" Gohan asked unfamiliar with the odd term.

"The God of Destruction. One of the strongest beings in the universe. His mission is to destroy planets and life. That way new planets and new species can be created," The Ancient Man replied. "However, the Hakaishin's responsibility is to only destroy uninhabited planets, dying stars or bereft black holes, if the latter can be a threat to inhabited planets or with the capacity to hold life on them." Gohan's eyes almost exploded. Blowing up stars and black holes? Was that even possible? Black holes literally absorbed everything that got close to them.

"Also, and you might not believe this," The Old Supreme Kai said with some mirth in his tune. "The god of Destruction is the Defender of the universe."

"Wait, so he destroys planets and you consider him an ally?" The black-haired alien asked eyebrow raised. Considering Bills sounded like the opposite of the Kais, the antithesis of Creation, he thought that the Shinjins would not exactly be friendly towards him.

"Personal feelings aside, it's his duty to keep the balance of the universe, not just by keeping the average mortal rate by working alongside Kais, but also by avoiding powerful threats to spread over the galaxies," The Old Kai kept his cosmic explanation. His sight landed on Gohan with a stern look. "Imagine if my ritual were not to work and your planet disappears tomorrow," The thought didn't appeal Gohan too much but he nodded nonetheless. "As soon as Bills wakes up and finds the destruction that this Cell threat has caused, it's Bills' obligation to destroy it." Gohan nodded on the outside but his mind was telling him otherwise. He would not just wait until this Hakaishin decided to appear to destroy Cell. Gohan would terminate him with his own hands.

"There's one Hakaishin for each universe. Ours is called Bills." The Kai finished.

"And where's Bills now?" The half alien asked his curiosity unquenchable. Despite not liking the idea of someone destroying planets.

"Snoring," The Old Kai said trying not to burst in laughter by the obvious. But because Gohan didn't understand the joke then laughing was pointless. He coughed and kept on with his story. "Gods of Destruction are active for as long as they want. From a few days to months or years before going into a slumber. They can also sleep as short as a day or as long as a millennia."

"Why is that? Someone so powerful I thought they would like to explore the universe and fight the strongest he could find," Gohan said thinking of something very familiar "At least that's what my father would do."

"Well, it's not the fact Bills can't stay awake but it's because he isn't interested in staying awake," The Shinjin stated, followed by an exasperated sigh. Although it wasn't aimed at Gohan. "Mortals should really learn better how to be Gods."

"Wow, hold on a sec!" The human/alien boy stopped the Old wizard feeling like something was amiss. "Mortal? You just told me that Bills is the strongest God of the universe!"

"He is not a God like myself or a regular Kai because he was not born as God," The Kai casually explained. "He 'became' a God." That little piece of info sure blew Gohan's young mortal mind.

"Mortals can turn into Gods?!" Gohan blurted out with high voice, making the old man cringe by the tune.

"While it's impossible for you to, let's say fill MY Kai shoes," The Shinjin said rubbing his ears. "With the proper amount of training you can become the new God of Destruction after Bills decides to not be one." Gohan folded his arms across his chest. That sure sounded like a lofty goal. Far more interesting than becoming a scholar, as his mother for some reason desperately wanted him to.

"Okay that sounds kind of cool," The young boy said smiling looking at the bright pink sky. Being a God. That sounded like a lot of responsibilities. But hey, Gohan had gone through some serious messed up dramas since he was four. He shook his head out of the realm of future possibilities. "But that's not the point. How can a mortal become a God?"

"Well to understand that, you must first know the history and layout of every universe." Gohan nodded hoping to find more. Specially about the fact hat there were Multiple universes. Trunks did confirmed the theory a bit considering his future remained unchanged despite all the things they had done in the present.

The Old Kai lifted his hand, a green sphere manifesting. The sphere grew in size like a holographic picture becoming twenty-feet wide and tall. The orb had three obvious layers inside it, the biggest ones been the top and the bottom with a thin layer of darkness in the middle splitting the two. Another orb was created by the Kai, only a tenth of the size right next to the giant sphere. It looked like a small moon orbiting a planet as big as a star. Two small orbs appeared almost at the top of the giant sphere, with one been right above of the bigger sphere's apex. One ball, however, appeared right beneath the massive sphere, like if it was trying to escape from been close to the giant one.

"This Gohan, is the format in which all universes were shaped like," The Old Kai started his class, pointing at the very obvious massive orb. "The top half is the Other World, the lower half is the mortal World and Hell is the small dark threshold, which divides the realms," The Kai explained, his wisdom coming to view. Gohan was literally eating all the info he was being given. "After the original eighteen universes were created, each one had established this shape," The Kai explained, his hand pointing at the smaller orb near the bottom of the biggest orb. "On a separate dimension on planet Kaishin, the Kaiju tree grows very unique magical fruits. When this fruits touch the ground, a Kai may be born. But if the fruit that falls is golden, then a Supreme Kai might be born."

"We Kais and Supreme Kais are born with great knowledge of the universe, which we expand during our long-lived jobs of overseeing our realms and quadrants. The first Shinjins born after the origin of the universe, made sure to search over the few races that they had created finding one that were the closest to a warrior race. Bills' race comes here as he was the strongest of his kind," The Old Kai stopped, taking a few deep breaths before continuing. "After witnessing his potential for battle, the first Supreme Kais decided to take things to the great ruler of all and his attendant."

"Okay wait right there," Gohan stopped the universal lesson feeling like a ton of bricks had suddenly smacked him in the head with realisation "There's someone ABOVE Bills?!"

"Several actually," The Kai replied matter-of-factly, leaving an aghast halfling. The old man kept on his speech unconcerned "Anyhow, above Bills are seven beings. One will be mentioned later. The other four, I will disclose no further information. The remaining two are the most powerful beings known to both mortals and Gods. One is Lord Zeno, the All-King of the eighteen universes. The creator and destroyer to everyone and everything." The Kai pointed at the sphere right above the universe. "His attendant is the Grand Priest Daishinkan. He is the strongest Angel and guards Zeno, despite of course him not needing any protection whatsoever. It's also in this dimension that all Angels and Dragons reside."

"Dragons? Like the one in the Dragon Balls?" Gohan asked wanting to know. Only to see the red face of anger plastered over the old man's face. Gohan hastily covered his ears knowing too well what was coming. Living with Chichi, you had to learn how to be numb to screams. Something Gohan still hadn't learnt from his dad or Piccolo.

"Numbskull!" The Kai lashed out at Gohan, making the Saiyan cringe by the wailing sound despite his indexs blocking his eardrums. "Did you actually thought that a massive dragon with the power to shape reality lived inside seven little balls?!"

"Okay, I get it. I'm not the brightest student, can we move on?" Gohan pleaded. He really didn't want to get into an argument with an old man. Specially if it involved more yelling.

"Now this is where Bills comes in," The Old kai said like if their banter seconds ago had never happened "As he is the first Hakaishin of our universe, the Supreme Kais brought him to Zeno to see if fit the roll of Hakaishin. As you might suspect Zeno agreed. Then the Shinjins brought Bills towards the Kaiju tree. After a ritual, they permanently bound the live of his with the current set of Supreme Kais of the universe."

"Once the process is over, Bills was granted our God Ki," The Kai merged with a witch explained. Although seeing Gohan's confusion he decided to elaborate "This life energy is different from mortal ki because it's far more efficient in combat and in pretty much anything you can think off. However, while Kais and Supreme Kais have Divine Ki, we cannot fully use it. If we could use it, then our Ki would be invisible to mortals," The Kai grinned "And considering you teleported here then you can sense our energies."

Gohan had to admit that was a very valid point. And it also made sense why Bills was a good choice. Fighters always had to be in synchrony with their ki. Even beings like the average human, who didn't believe in life energy, still had it and used it at an unconscious level to live normal lives.

"That's why the Hakaishin is always elected from a warrior race. As warriors can shape the Godly energies to their fullest." Gohan theorised out loud.

"Oh very good. You are keeping up," The magical Kai praised the youngster with a smile. "This is when Daishinkan comes in. He chooses one of his angels to both assist the God of Destruction and train them to control their God Ki."

"So Bills has an angel teacher...and butler." Gohan commented pausing to fully understand the weirdness of what he had just said.

"In short terms, yes." Kai kept on, unnoticing Gohan's conundrum. "The Angels far surpass their Hakaishin in terms of strength even if they have trained them for millions of years. Which Bills has and he still hasn't surpassed his attendant."

"And there's a reason for that?" The hybrid asked. So far, if one thing happened was because another thing also happen. So the universe did follow the Third Law of Physics: an action creates an opposite reaction.

"Why of course," The Kai from fifteen generations ago chimed in. "The attendant is to stop the Hakaishin should his destruction threaten the balance of the universe."

"So if Bills has been a God since almost the universe was born, how can he have not died?" The black-haired teen questioned the Kai "As you just told me ten minutes ago, Supreme Kais may live extremely long but have a finite time."

"Haven't you heard me?!" The Old Kai blurted out, earning another painful reaction out of Gohan's sensitive ears. "Bills tied his life with the Kaiju Tree and to the Supreme Kais. If the current set of Supreme Kais dies by natural cause, Bills will not die because the Tree will eventually produce new Shinjins in the following years," The Kai sighed his outburst "If all the Supreme Kais, however, were to meet their demise in battle then Bills would perish as well." The half alien sure wasn't expecting that one. It sounded like Kami and Piccolo before they had reunited.

"So that's why you were trapped inside the Z-sword?" Gohan asked rubbing his still ringing ear.

"Nice observation," The Kai sorcerer noted, praising the boy for his intellect. "Indeed, I was the last Supreme Kai of my group and there was a powerful enemy wrecking havoc among mortals. Due to my magic, I thought I was more than strong enough to defeat him. Bills, however, didn't like the idea of his lifeline being severed so he locked me in the Z-sword and handled the threat by himself," "He obviously forgot that he could have easily just asked me not to go and I would have stayed put."

"If you were trapped, weren't you technically dead?" Gohan asked quite miffed by the odd things he was trying to wrap his head around.

"In terms of performing my duty to keep creation and supervising mortals, I was indeed dead," The Old Kai said "But to keep Bills' life tied to the next generation of Kais, I was more than suited."

"There's one, however, that's not tied to that rule," The old man suddenly said. He pointed at the tiny orb orbiting the massive one at eighty degrees from its top. "This unique realm is the Time Nest. In this realm, only one Supreme Kai lives. Her name is Chronoa, and she is the Supreme Kai of Time."

"Time? She controls time?" Gohan asked in surprise. Talking about even more bizarre things in this universe.

"Not exactly. She can travel through it, but is always careful because meddling with it can have serious repercussions." The Old Kai explained with a face full of seriousness. "Messing with the timeline, even just once, is more than enough to wreck havoc over all the timelines one universe has."

The black-haired Saiyan suddenly felt that his coughing fit sounded a bit too suspicious to be mere specks of dust.

"Unlike other Supreme Kais," The old man explained either not noticing Gohan's nervousness or not caring all together. "Her life is not tied to a God of Destruction but to the Time Vault, the nexus from which she can access any period of time."

"So this Supreme Kai is immortal or just removes her age every million years or so?" Gohan joked, earning a chuckle out of the Old Kai and the East Supreme Kai.

"Well, she supervises time and is the only Supreme Kai with direct access to Lord Zeno's realm without needing an Angel's help," The Old wizard explained rubbing his chin thought. "So I have to say that immortal or not, many Supreme Kais would not like to be on that position and be the harbinger of bad news."

The meditating Saiyan remained silent for a few minutes processing all the information and trying to see if he had missed anything. Meanwhile the old magician kept muttering words in an old language.

"You said there's a Hakaishin for each universe. So there are eighteen Gods of Destruction each one with his own Angel?" Gohan kept on asking wanting to know more about such mysteries.

"Twelve. Although the Aspects started with eighteen," The Shinjin explained, throwing Gohan's mind out for the loop. "As confusing as it may sound, Lord Zeno throws tantrums from time to time and chooses to simply eliminate anything he wants."

"Okay WHAT?!" Gohan thought. He couldn't freaking believe it. "The All King of the Multiverse, has the personality of a child?!" Gohan so wanted to face-palm. Out of respect of the Kais in front of him, he didn't. "Seriously, who the fuck gave him the tittle in the first place?" It was like giving Goku the key to access a dimension filled with monsters stronger than Cell. Goku would open the door and forget to close it afterwards.

The Kai, noting that Gohan's mind had drifted away, coughed a bit. The halfling stopped his train of thoughts focusing back on the lesson.

"All of the universes have unique life forms. Though there are always chances of similar creatures in two different universes." The Old Shinjin explained even further "For example, Saiyans existing in the Sixth Universe and also this one, which is the Seventh." Gohan nodded "That's because the Universes have a reverse twin. The Sixth with the Seventh, the First with the Twelve and so on."

The silence fell down over the three people. Not an awkward silence, mind you. But one of settlement and peace.

"Wow, that's an explanation." The Saiyan said after a few minutes of letting everything settle down in his mind.

"Now make silence! We still have twenty-four hours before the ritual is done." The old man blurted out and Gohan nodded serious. His eyes were immediately closed, his body and mind relaxed from everything around. The Saiyan thought that doing some meditation might came handy to pass by. He thanked Piccolo for teaching him that. All of this data had to be properly processed by his mind.

Gohan returned from his deep trance, his eyes quickly jolting. The Old Kai was snoring in front of him, a line of drool falling from his mouth. A vein of anger, Vegeta trademark, appeared on Gohan's forehead.

"Hey!" The alien hybrid yelled, getting the others' attention. The Old Kai fell on his back anime style.

"Kid, don't be so precipitated. Power does not grow out of trees!" The aged man said a bit exasperated. The warrior boy sure wanted to say that the Tree of Might had its own opinion on that matter. But he decided to keep that information for later.

"But we've already finish." Gohan exclaimed. The Old Kai materialised a digital clock out of nowhere. Indeed, the time of ritual had already passed.

"Oh, look at that. You are right. We were done almost an hour ago." The Kai casually stood up dusting himself off.

"An hour?! And why I'm still waiting here when the fight might be over?!"" Gohan yelled out in frustration, pushing himself up to his feet with one hand. However, his 'simple' push suddenly sent him up a two hundred yards into the air. The Saiyan looked at his hand and the fact he was already up in the high ozone layer without using a thousandth of his power.

"Wh-What the..." That was all the Saiyan could barely stutter without actually swearing out loud. He looked down at his hands in astonishment. His strength had duplicated. No. Quadruplicated since the ritual had started.

At the least.

"What happened to me?" The black-haired teenager asked after descending in front of the Old Kai, feeling every fiber of his body running with flaming power. It was simply intoxicating. And it felt familiar like if he had transformed into Super Saiyan all over again.

"What I said it would happen," The wrinkled man said, analysing the new Gohan. "To put a good measure on your current power, you are now ten times stronger than yesterday."

"Ten times?!" Gohan blurted out eyes widened, almost out of their sockets. King Kai sure was right about the training with these guys.

"And that's just your normal self. Wait until you transform into Super Saiyan." The Old Kai smirked. The half Saiyan was still aghast by his own ki. It was almost hypnotising. Would his body be able to stand such insurmountable amounts of ki without blowing him up?

One thing for sure though, Cell was not going to survive an encounter with the new Mega Saiyan.

Suddenly Gohan received a smack on the back of his head, taking him out of his train of thoughts.

"What are you waiting for, dufus?! Go and kick that lizard! Why did I unleash your powers, then?!" The Kai bellowed again, causing Gohan to rub his face innocently.

"Sorry, I got a bit sidetracked." The demi Saiyan replied. "Hope you don't mind if I come to train this power later on your planet." He placed his two fingers to his forehead and sensed his distant home planet. It was rather easy now that his powers had augmented so much.

The Ultra Saiyan perfectly travelled through space ready to save his home planet.

"Goku is going to lose." That dreadful statement was said by the green Namekian Piccolo. The fight between Cell and Goku had dragged on for hours and yet both had been dead equal, with no fighter gaining a real advantage at first. But the first Super Saiyan of Earth had started to finally lost his edge over his bio-machine opponent. If he ever had any to start with.

The orange-dressed Super Saiyan called Goku floated down to the ground, his golden aura banishing. He thought his son was going to be here. His green eyes suddenly diverted up into the sky feeling a gigantic energy moving towards them. The full-blooded alien smiled, knowing that his son had finally arrived. For some reason Gohan felt massively stronger but Goku didn't mind. It meant he had unlocked that secret power Goku had witnessed during their training in the Time Chamber. That was the power that could put an end to Cell for good.

"I give up, Cell." The Super Saiyan said out loud with a small smile. Before the bio machine had replied to that, Goku had already teleported next to his group of friends. And that's when the others felt the incoming power towards them.

Gohan fell from the sky like a meteor, landing on his feet with an echoing shock wave washing over the desert. Nearly everyone tried to backstep from the epicentre of the living comet. The hybrid stood up without a scratch or blemish on his skin, his purple outfit not even covered in dust. Clouds of sand swirled around the youngster's frame moved by an invisible ki layer around his pumped-up muscles.

"Gohan, you are here!" the bald monk called Krillin said in happiness. The last thing the poor human wanted was to anger Chichi by telling her that her son had died before the battle had started. But the monk's bliss made a one-hundred-eighty twist, instantly opening his mouth in surprise. The power was literally exuding from his friend's body like a slow wave of vapor.

"Son, are you okay?" Goku asked his son, returning back to black palm-shaped hair. The half Saiyan looked at his father with apparent peace for their current situation.

"I'm great, dad." The half Saiyan replied with a confident smirk. His glazed black eyes darted towards the green lizard. "Cell, I'm going to be your next opponent so get ready!" Gohan turned his sight towards Krillin.

"Hey Krillin, give me and my dad a Senzu." The newly enhanced half alien ordered his bald friend.

"Sure." The monk said, throwing a magical bean to the two Saiyans. Goku ate his, his injuries healed and now stronger than before thanks to his alien gens. Gohan, however, had other plans for his food. Because he threw his Senzu towards the bio machine. All the fighters gasped when the teenager did what could be considered the stupidest thing ever.

"Eat it, Cell. It's a Senzu bean, you'll need it!" The black-haired hybrid said out loud with extreme glee.

"Gohan have you lost your mind?!" Krillin blurted out against his friend. Everyone had pretty much the same question for the youngster. Yet Gohan remained impassive and looking at his green enemy, who gladly ate the bean. The android also got a bit stronger thanks to his part-Saiyan body.

"No, but if Cell isn't at full power then it won't be any fun," The new alien replied with mirth and a bit sadistic too "Besides, Cell won't last a minute against my new strength." Before anyone could ask what the Hell was going on, the half Saiyan had already floated down to the battlefield, ready to destroy the pest and very easily too. It was finally time to end this whole Android mess.

"You are quite a very foolish kid," The green and black reptilian enemy said with sarcasm, his strength increased a bit thanks to his Saiyan DNA. Good old Dr Gero sure knew his genetics stuff, when it came down to revenge. "Now I will have to kill you slowly and very painfully!"

"We'll see about that." The demi Saiyan retorted with malice, his arms suddenly folded to his sides. Now it was time to put the new secret abilities to a good use. The black-haired warrior screamed to the Heavens above, unleashing his normal Super Saiyan transformation. His powers suddenly kicked up, but there was no outward physical change. Aside from the fact that thousands of miles of landscape were shaking by the new ki in galactic proportions.

Cell and pretty much everyone capable of feeling energies had their eyes opened wide. The sheer raw energy was simply amazing. It was at least equal to ten Cells or more put together.

Gohan smirked. If they were surprised by the simple display then he would now show what was true power! Apparently a side effect of the ritual had been that it had unlocked some hidden Super Saiyan transformations, which Gohan hadn't reached before the ritual. But now they were his to take without any drawback.

Screaming out-loud with a tune high enough to shatter glass, Goku's son unleashed a shocking wave of energy from his very insides, tons of dust flying and covering everything at sight. Boulders cracked and the ground was ran by deep trenches and holes that reached down into Earth's magma layer. All over the green world the cities and forests were trembling with twelve-grade earthquakes, things crushing and toppling down. People ran away in fear when electronic devices started to short circuit and glasses started to fall from building's cracked windows. Massive tidal waves washed over the oceans creating devastating tsunamis. The reality shook to its foundation by the mystic power of a young Super Saiyan.

"What's going on here?!" The time traveller called Trunks asked while using his arms to protect himself from the powerful hurricane-like wind gusts. No one answered. He then felt his body slowly pushed backwards by the typhoonic wind gales.

"The world...it's shaking!" The Saiyan prince and white-armoured Vegeta commented flabbergasted and almost speechless. He was also been pushed back by Gohan's power-up.

Even Goku had to cover himself from his son's energy. He knew Gohan was powerful but never he thought up to that extent. How did he do it? All that he knew was that King Kai told him that his son was doing some special training. Not that he had become a living God.

"Now you see how pitiful your attempts are, Cell?!" The powering half alien bellowed, his black eyes turning green and glaring with unbridled power cursing through his bulking muscles. The Perfect Android didn't reply. Or more accurate couldn't. Because he had to use his forearms to stop himself from flying away into the distance.

Suddenly everything went calm. The only audible noise came from Android Sixteen's inner computer trying to fully process the levels of energy that were being generated. But no equation in human minds could ever hope to understand the abyss of strength the youngster had unleashed.

When the dust finally settled over the distant landscape, Gohan was still standing but his spiky black hair was standing up with one lock of hair flowing down over his forehead. He also had emerald green eyes and a small grin in his lips. There was an invisible aura around his chiselled body, almost skin-tight like a personal shield. A few golden lightnings flowed over his pumped frame, each arc of lightning sounding like a little bomb exploding by the contact with the oxygen particles.

Cell yelled, his body shooting forward with a fist aimed to the face. He would not be humiliated by a pesky little child! He was the purest definition of the world 'perfect'. No one was above him!

But his green-scaled hand never reached its mark. Because as soon as it got close just by millimeters from Gohan' skin, the fist was instantly vaporised.

Every fighter after that day would admit having suffered a tear on their eyelid muscles. By the fact they had nearly popped their eyes out after widening sockets.

"No...No way!" Krillin stammered, trying to find some coherent words to complete his sentence. He had always felt the strength of someone, who surpassed him. Perfect Cell had been a monster on his own. Now the monster tier belonged to his friend Gohan alone. "Gohan generates so much power that Cell is atomized just by getting close to him!" Everybody had a brain meltdown after feeling such a marvelling power. It defiled logic and physics. Even for Saiyan logic and those were so faulty that no one understood.

"Kakarot, what kind of training did you go through inside the Time Chamber?!" Vegeta growled towards the palm-haired Saiyan. The shorter-sized Vegeta grabbed his taller enemy from the collar of his ragged orange Gi. "I want that training too!"

"Vegeta, this isn't what me and Gohan trained for!" Goku replied out-loud as gobsmacked as everyone. But obviously, Vegeta didn't believe the low-class. They were all trying to make him look like a fool. He was the Royal Saiyan! He deserved the power! It was rightfully his to take!

The green bio android backstepped in fear. No, in unbridled terror. His new injury was twitching, ready to heal back thanks to the Namekian part his gens.

The split of split of a microsecond later, Gohan was already in front of the Red Ribbon Android.

"HAAAA!" Gohan yelled, his open hands aimed forward and firing a concentrated air blast at dead point-blank. Concentrated enough to vaporize Cell down to nothing but flying dust in the wind. It had only been a fraction of what the hybrid Saiyan could truly do.

And just with that ease, it was the end of the evil RR army. Many would call it anticlimactic to end everything in such a quick way. But Gohan couldn't care less for any stupid action seeker. Now everyone he cared about were safe.

It took a few minutes before the breaking news were registered by every fighters standing on the battlefield. Gohan sighed and receded his mystic powers, going back to his new base level. His eyes went black and his hair was again a mess of black spikes.

The half Saiyan floated down back to his friends, who all had their mouths on the ground and even lower. That only made Gohan rubbed his head innocently like his father did.

"I think I have some explaining to do."

Notes from Chapter:

Gohan obtained the Mystic form. I have a multiplier for it but it's a bit hard to explain because it depends on the species.

Gohan's mystical appearance is a mixture of his Mystic self from Anime with his Teen SS2 (invisible aura with lightnings and at the same time spiky hair with eyes changed color but no other physical change)

Gohan's cocky attitude was because Cell deserved it.

The Supreme Planet has one hundred times Earth gravity (That was something I invented)

Cell doesn't deserve a very awesome fight. Specially because Gohan's power wouldn't allow that.

The Supreme Kai's power is one thousand times the one from Frieza.

I'm not going to use Kibito on this story.

I've recently added the new info on the Divine Hierarchy that Dragon Ball Super and Xenoverse introduced. I may not fully like the Super Saiyan God forms but I can handle the Gods.
