Happy New Year!!!!

I DON'T OWN TWILIGHT!

I was never one for parties, neither is my dad. New Years was definitely something to celebrate, well to me I guess, but couldn't we just do it in bed together instead of a giant family party? As always Alice totally outdid herself. There were streamers everywhere and she made everyone wear ridiculous "Happy New Year" hats.

"Come on everyone," Alice screeched, "Two more minutes to the New Year, am I the only one excited?" I wasn't the only one not enjoying myself. Rosalie was just about dead, sitting on Emmet's lap on the couch. Reneesme had fallen asleep hours ago, and I and Edward weren't so cheerful either.

We all gathered around the television, getting ready to see the ball drop. (In NYC) Everyone was here. Charlie, the Blacks and the Clearwater's, everyone from the pack and of course, Esme, Carlisle, Rosalie, Emmet, Jasper, Alice, Reneesme, Edward and I.

The clock on the bottom of the screen said 11:59.28. When it got to thirty, Emmet started a countdown that soon everyone joined in on, a countdown to the New Year. I wasn't quite sure if I was ready for the New Year. This year had been one of the most, make that the most incredible years of my life, I didn't it want it to end.

"30, 29, 28…." We all started cheering. I looked around the room at my family. Everyone was happy. Rennesme was asleep with her head on my shoulder and Edwards arm was wrapped around my waist. "19,18,17…."

I had been so lucky this year that I didn't really know what 2009 would bring. Would I be just as lucky, or did I already get my fair share (that rhymes)?

"10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1!"

"Happy New Year." I whispered in Reneesme's ear. Then I turned around and kissed Edward as passionately as I could, then went and hugged the rest of my family.

And I realized that I didn't even need Alice to see that this year, we would make whatever we could out of, together.
