Peaceful.
That was the only word Hyuuga Neji could come up with when he stared into her eyes. Those unblinking eyes of the only person he could have ever loved. The only person who had truly loved him back.
Tenten.

Flashback
"Tenten." Neji stopped suddenly during his meditation and looked at the fragile girl next to him that had previously throwing her many weapons at targets, "My uncle insists that I find myself a bride."
"Oh." Tenten stared at the ground for a few moments with a look of disappointment in her eyes, "I guess it can't be helped."
Neji smirked, took a deep a breath and then asked just barely over a whisper, "Tenten, will you marry me?"
Tenten looked up from the ground straight into the prodigy's white eyes. Tears started to form in her eyes and before Neji knew it her arms were wrapped tightly around his neck.
"Y-Yes!" she stuttered, crying because she was so happy and Neji began to hug her back.

End Flashback

"Tenten, I'm so sorry!" Neji said, "I wasn't strong enough to save you!"
He took a kunai out of Tenten's pouch and held it to his heart.
"Forgive me!" he said through tears (yes…Neji cries) and he prepared to strike, "I couldn't save you from him!"

Flashback
The chapel was beautiful, layered with white roses and lace, perfect for the perfect couple. Neji couldn't wait as he stood on the alter and he saw Tenten in a beautiful dress walking gracefully, with a huge grin on her face, down the aisle. She smiled even brighter as she approached Neji. But just as she reached the alter the door burst open. All the guest turned to see Haishi (sorry if I spelled that wrong),Hinata's father and Neji's uncle, burst into the chapel.
He pointed a strict finger at Tenten and then said, "I will not let the Hyuuga's only prodigy marry such low class filth such as her!"
After that a battle arose amongst the guest and some Hyuugas even tried to attack Neji and Tenten. Neji began battling to save the defenseless Tenten, for she could neither fight nor run away in her dress. The fighting stopped with a blood curdling scream. Everyone turned to see a dead Tenten lying face flat on the ground and Haishi with his foot on her back triumphantly. Before anyone could do anything, Neji pushed Haishi onto the ground and turned over Tenten. The guest quickly positioned themselves in a circle around Neji and his dead bride. Everyone murmured a quiet statement of forgiveness. But Neji heard no of them, he just stared into her peaceful dead eyes.

End Flashback

Neji sat there about to commit suicide in front of all his wedding guest, but just as he began to thrust the kunai into his heart a hand stopped him. In terror he looked down and looked straight into the eyes of bride, who was now blinking. Everyone around them gasped and took a step back when she got onto her knees kneeling straight across from her dumbfounded fiancé.

She looked straight into his eyes and smiled, "I do." Were the only words she said before she was pulled into a passionate kiss from Neji.

The crowd parted to reveal Haishi now standing over the couple.

He sighed and then said, "Tenten has shown great power…so…I will accept Neji's decision to marry her."

Before embracing again Neji stared into her peaceful eyes.
