To: My good friend Sirius Black

As I sit with my tea currently scalding my knee I find my self wondering what I used to do in the quite. It has given me a good chance to finish my homework. However I do miss the laughter and constant distractions. Like that one time that you turned all of the things in our dorm into live chickens to see if you could, then forgot how to turn them back. I still have a whole in my favourite sock. Tuesdays will never be the same, with my big to hanging out for the entire world to see.

Don't roll your eye at me Black, yes I do have to wear them on Tuesdays because they are my Tuesday socks. Wearing said garment on any other day would be illogical. Yes Sirius illogical is a real word, I promise you.

Even though I have only been away from you and James for a few weeks I seem to already miss you. I have spoken to my parents and they have agreed to let the two of you spend a few nights. I hope you can make it. Maybe if you don't tell you parents that my mum is a Muggle they might let you come.

I am still pleasantly surprised that "oldest black brother kills prat younger bother" hasn't been in bold letters on the top of the daily profit yet. I truly hope you are having a good time at home.

Did I mention that I got some new books this summer? There is one I think you may really like; it's called 'The Outsiders'. Its about this boy in a Muggle gang, actually he reminds me a lot of you.

I'm terribly sorry that I have to cut this letter short but I mist go now and figure out how to deal with this quite. I don't know what to do with myself now that you and James are no longer being terrible and horrible influences on me.

Hope to see you soon &c. &c.

Remus Lupin.
