Unheard Cries
A/N: I don't know Naruto nor am I Edgar Allen Poe.
Kakashi walked through the graveyard with a somber look. He eventually stopped by one newer gravestone. It was white granite surrounded by pink roses. He sighed and sat by the gravestone sitting there just looking at the stone. A single tear fell down his face. He remembered parts of a poem he had heard and it remind himself of that person.
We loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.
Many had fallen for her but she loved Kakashi and Kakashi loved her. They swore they would be with only each other. Many people didn't approve of their love but they stay with each other despite the pain they went through. They had one thing many spend a lifetime looking for, true love.
And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
More tears fell down when he remember her death. It came in the form of Sasuke. The beast had become possessive of her when she no longer had any feelings for him. In a fit of jealous rage he had slice her throat killing her before she could react. Kakashi came to late to save her.
So that her highborn kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.
The ANBU took her body away while he cried silent tears holding her cooling hand. A month after the death of Sasuke the funeral was held for his beloved. He kept his tears at bay until everyone had left. It was then that he crumbled into himself and cried his heart out.
But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we-
Of many far wiser than we-
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.
Kakashi's love for her burned bright in the very depths of his soul. He would never get over and move on. She was his soul mate, the only one he could ever be with happily. Nothing he did would change that love he felt. The familiar tears fell harder knowing that he lost her.
For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride,
In the sepulcher there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.
No matter what he did it brought memories of the time he spent with her. He knew those memories made him happy and sad at the same time.
He gently said ", I love you so much, Sakura."
With that he left to continue on with his time on earth. In heaven an angel with pink hair and green eyes smiled down on his form.
The angel said ", And I love you, Kakashi."
