This is a quick prequel sort fic to my Back at Hogwart's. The events during this happened before that fic began. I would say about a year or so. I thought it was a bit off course of the original fic and didn't want to confuse anyone while jumping from Draco/Herm to Harry/Ginny. Enjoy

This Too Shall Pass

He ran through St. Mungo's, his heart beating fast. He turned each corner nearly missing knocking down one or two people. He didn't know where he was going, he couldn't find anyone. Then suddenly he saw heads of rich red ahead of him.

"RON!!"

He was breathless, barely able to get the words out. He reached the Weasley family and bent down with his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath.

"Harry, where were you?"

"I-I got lost...this place is a mad house!" he stood up, "Is she alright, what's going on?"

Ron's head sunk, "Not good mate, not good at all. The mediwizards are finishing up now. You should be able to go in soon."

"Aren't you going to tell me what's going on!" he was shouting now.

"Harry!" Mrs. Weasley appeared from behind Ron, "Calm down dear," and she took him into a tight hug and he pushed her away.

"No! I want to know what's going on!"

"Maybe it's best if she tells you," the mediwizard had emerged from the room, "Go on in, she has been asking for you."

Harry shot the man a cold stare and proceeded into the room. It was bright, the magical sun shining into the room. He turned towards the bed and saw his wife laying in it. He sat next to her bed and grabbed her hand. He stroked it with his thumb, brought it to his mouth and kissed it.

"'ello Harry," said a soft voice.

Harry looked at his wife. Her eyes were puffy and red. She had been crying hard.

"He's gone, isn't he," and he reached his arm over and placed his hand around her belly.

She stifled a cry, "Yes, Sirius is gone.... there's nothing they could do Harry."

Harry was angry but calmed himself the best he could. His first son, dead. There was nothing he could do. He laid his head down onto his wife's stomach and began to cry. She stroked his hair and whispered, "Harry, it's alright. He is safe now. Your parent's will take care of him. As will Sirius and Dumbledore. He is still with people that love him."

"I know, it's just not fair." She smiled, "Harry, you should know more than anyone life is not fair. But don't worry. We will get pregnant again, and we will have a child to take care of and love, I truly believe we will!"

"I love you Ginny."

"I love you too, Harry."
