Quick A/N: Fair warning, there IS multiple character death but it isn't graphic and the actual act of deaths are only referenced. And the ending is happy and totally cute. I promise.
"No! No! Put me down!" Atlanta fought her captor as hard as she could, kicking and clawing at him, "Take me back! You – you can't take me! Not now! Please! Please…"
Thanatos paid the young woman no mind. He didn't falter a single wing-stroke as he flew the Hero from the tragic scene down below, where spectators were now beginning to gather, to Hades and the Hall of Judgment.
He placed her down at the very front of the entire line of people, earning her cries of hate and 'Unfair!' from those Thanatos had just line-jumped. Minos eyed her.
"Atlanta? One of the seven young heroes who saved the entire world and all the gods?"
She ran to the stand and pleaded, "Please! I can't – I can't go! I can't die! Everything is… Archie just—!"
"You're already dead!" Minos shouted back at her. "That's why you're HERE."
"No, please," her pleads turned in to whimpers, "please don't take me away from him."
Minos scowled at her as he raised his gavel, "ELYSIAN FIELDS," and smashed it down.
Atlanta opened her eyes to see the beautiful fields stretching before her. She held in the tears she so desperately wanted to release – she was stuck here, for eternity, there was no sense crying over it now. Just inside the gates, she saw the inhabitants acting just as cheery and serene as the landscape they were in. Turning around she saw the vast nothingness that was the underworld. Her mind went to her friends, to Archie. She didn't even get to say goodbye to anyone, even the man she loved. There was still so much she had to do on the surface, but no. She was here. Dead. For eternity.
Facing the vast nothingness, she sat on the ground and, burying her face in her knees, she began to cry. On the other hand, eternity was a long time, after all. She might as well get the tears out of the way now.
