summary: Gordo and Lizzie argue about hair.

"Don't ever cut your hair." Lizzie said suddenly, looking up from her English book.

"What?" Gordo replied, putting down his pen and looking at Lizzie strangely.

"Don't cut your hair. I like it big and poofy." Lizzie stated.

"Thanks for the tip." Gordo replied, used to Lizzie's unsolicited fashion advice. "Will you read my essay?" Gordo asked, handing his notebook over to Lizzie.

"Only if you promise not to cut your hair short ever again." Lizzie said, folding her arms over her chest.

"You're acting weird, Lizzie. It's just hair." Gordo said, reaching up and pulling at his mass of dark curls.

"I know, but if you cut it---just don't."

"Lizzie, I'm sure you asking me to never cut my hair makes perfect sense in your head, but to me you just sound like you've been studying to hard. I'm going to shave my hair OFF if you don't give me a good reason to keep it long."

"I like it."

"And if you liked jumping off bridges, do you really think I would do it too?" Gordo asked in disbelief.

"Yes because if other kids do it, we all should, right?" Lizzie replied sarcastically. "That's not what I mean."

"Then explain what you mean!" Gordo retorted.

"If you cut your hair, I can't do this." Lizzie said, jumping up and moving closer to Gordo, bringing her lips to his.

At first Gordo was surprised and began to pull away, but then Lizzie snaked her arms around his neck and started playing with his curls. Gordo smiled a little as he realized what Lizzie had meant.

And he was never cutting his hair again.
