Perfect

The one word your not.

Your sister is,

She's itty-bitty with blonde hair and oh so wide blue eyes.

She has everything, everything that once was so important to you.

She has your mothers favor,

Your father's attention,

She's your brother's role-model

And your loves fiancée.

She has the looks,

She has the smiles,

She has everything you want,

Everything you know you will not get.

For she is here,

And you are there,

In a whole different country,

Forgotten.

You have no ones love,

You tell yourself you don't need any

But we all know you're lying.

You want love,

You need it.

You yearn for someone to love you,

To touch you,

To hold you.

To never let you go.

Why can't you be loved like they all love her?

She is smart

And oh so pretty

You never was your mother's favorite,

You used to be your fathers.

Then she became head girl and you are once again,

Forgotten.

So you hide yourself underneath eyeliner,

And piercings,

Dark clothes and hair dye.

Anything to differentiate yourself.

You pull pranks,

You get in trouble.

You get kicked out of the one place you love.

It's a new record.

You cry in your room over your non-existent life and wonder if anyone will miss you when your

Gone.

You leave,

You've been shipped off

But you find a new family that loves you.

More then your real one.

You adopt a new language,

And new style.

You become yourself.

Your real self.

No more eyeliner,

No more black.

It's just you.

No one knows of her.

It is the perfect life,

Where you are an only child.

You have the perfect family,

The perfect looks,

The perfect boy.

Everything is going your way.

You don't want to go home.

Because once you do you shall be replaced again.

They won't notice you,

They never do.

So you take it upon yourself to skip it.

To skip your sisters wedding.

You don't want to watch her be the center of attention,

You do that enough anyway.

You don't want to watch your old love marry your sister.

But you go home anyway.

And sitting there,

In the back of the church,

You realize something as your oh so pretty sister walks down the aisle.

You realize,

That you are better then her.

Maybe not always,

But certainly now.

You do the something you thought you would never do.

You forgive her.
