"So," Akio drawled, leaning his elbows on the hood of the car. "How are we going to make this work?"

"You mean you really want to flip onto the hood of the car?" Touga sighed.

"Of course-"

"That's not going to work!" Touga yelled in exasperation. "And it's totally impractical besides!" Akio stood up straight and walked over to Touga, smiling greasily.

"You wouldn't deny End of the World, would you?" He started unbuttoning Touga's uniform.

"Fine, fine!" Touga shoved Akio away. "Let's get this over with."

"I knew you would comply." Akio revved up the engine, and they sped down the road. Dim yellow light from the street lamps dappled their images, adding an air of mystery to the night.

"I will cue you so that I can take control of the wheel," Touga murmured. Akio nodded, and when Touga gave the sign, flipped into the air gracefully. Sadly, he overestimated the distance he would need to go. Time slowed as he landed on his posterior. Touga tried to brake in vain, and the vermilion sports car zoomed over Akio without obstruction.

"YEEEEEEEEEEOWWWWWWWW!" he yelped.

"Are you alright?" Touga said worriedly as soon as the car stopped. He jumped out.

"Perfectly fine. Let's try again," Akio announced, hauling himself to his feet. He was shaken and there were a few flyaways in his lavender hair, but he seemed alright otherwise.

"If you say so," Touga said. They got into the car and began for the second time. They sped along the road, and Touga gave the cue again. Akio wheeled through the air, light catching on the embellishments of his outfit. In dread, Touga stomped on the brakes. This time, though, he underestimated, and landed right on top of Touga.

"Ouch! Oh, not now, Akio!" Touga cried. Akio was promptly pushed back into the driver's seat. "One more time, and that's it." Rumbling filled the air as the car careened along the road.

"Now!" Akio flipped, arcing, sailing, flying into the air. It was perfect, it was beautiful, and they were almost there. An elephant's trumpet sounded in the distance. And then, without warning, the kangaroo of boxing glove famed jumped right in front of the accelerating a swift punch, it sent Akio catapulting through the air in the opposite direction, him screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" all the way. The kangaroo leapt from the front of the car before Touga could hit it. Touga couldn't even think to break until a few moment later.

"I think we should give it up for the night," Akio said when they finally reached each other again. Touga just nodded wearily.
