Four figures sat quietly around a smoldering campfire lost in thought. Although not friends, they all agreed that this experience would be good for them. It was all Felicity's fault that this unusual group was out here in the first place. She was the one that brought up the question. What started out as a normal Friday night, well however normal a vigilante and his Team could get, suddenly changed when Felicity asked her simple question.
Is death final?
Most people would say of course death is final, but this unusual group proved that death was in fact not final.
So lost in thought were Oliver Queen, Slade Wilson, Malcom Merlyn, and Sara Lance that they did not notice when four ghostly figures appeared behind them.
"So, what I don't understand is, if death is indeed not final, why are we dead?" inquired a young male voice.
"I couldn't agree with you more Tommy. All four of them have died or been on death's door more than I can even count, yet they are still alive when we are not!" complained a young female voice.
"Darling, why don't you just ask them why we are dead. I would, but we both know that you are better with words then I am" pleaded an older male's voice.
"Very well Dear, I will. Excuse me, so sorry to interrupt, but we have a question for y'all! Yelled an older female's voice.
Roused out of their musings, Oliver, Slade, Malcom, and Sara all turned around to find the voice that sounded behind them. Standing side by side were four ghostly figures that the group quickly recognized.
"Mom, Dad, Tommy, Shado!" exclaimed Oliver excitedly.
"Not to be rude or anything, but how are y'all here?" asked a very confused Malcom.
"The correct question is why are we dead!" yelled Tommy in frustration.
"Yeah, Oliver almost died so many times it's not even funny, Slade got an arrow through his eye, Malcolm got run through with an arrow, and Sara drowned twice, yet y'all are still alive." Added Shado.
"What we would like to know, Son, is why we died?" asked Robert gently.
"It's in your contract Dad". Explained Oliver slowly.
"Oliver don't joke!" reproached Moira. "I went over my contract cover to cover three times and I didn't come across anything that explains why we died." Moira finished.
"It is in the teeny tiny I-need-a-magnifying-glass-to-read fine print on the last page off your contract." Oliver explained.
"It says and I quote: all main character deaths are not final unless,
A. You get shot in the head.
B. You are impaled by building rubble
Or
C. you are run through with a sword
"So, you see Mom all four of y'all died by one of those ways." Oliver explained sadly.
"There is also a note after that." added Sara. "It says and I quote: all main character deaths that are witnessed by Oliver Queen at the time of that persons passing are final.
"You four are dead twice over. Can we get back to our contemplative state now!" demanded Slade.
"Very well, we leave y'all in peace." replied Moira as she and Robert disappeared.
"Yeah, live long and prosper!" shouted Tommy as he and Shado disappeared also.
Taking one last look around to make sure that they were indeed alone again, Oliver, Slade, Malcom, and Sara resumed their hypnotic staring into the smoldering flames of their campfire.
