i didnt like my old one so, here! new story!

It was a cold and wet night. The ambu nin hurried through the trees, towards a nearby town. Her soft bubble gum pink hair was tied back and she moved with the flexible grace of a cat. The feline animal mask she wore only intensified the illusion. She was clothed in an all black ambu costume and had a long katana tied to her back.

This was 17 year old Haruno Sakura. This was the ambu nin who was appointed captain at age 16. This was the girl who had trained with and surpassed the Hokage and was named, along with her former teammates, as the second wave of sannin. This was the strongest kunoichi in all of Konoha.

But, it was not always so. Before, when she was younger, no one believed Sakura could become so great. She was, to herself, and others as a weak little kunoichi who needed to be protected. That was true until he left. After he left the village, Sakura cried in her isolated room for a week. Eventually her good friend Naruto busted in the door and forced her out into the sunlight. That was when she realized she could not be weak anymore, she had to get stronger, and she had to get stronger so that she could help Naruto bring him back.

She trained as apprentice to the fifth Hokage for 4 years, becoming a well known face to Konoha hospital and the village. After she became ambu, she still took shifts in the hospital whenever she could. As far as anyone could tell, she was happy. She didn't date, but that was understandable since she was so busy.

She thought she was happy too, yet a small part of her still longed for him to come back.

Who was this he? He was the teammate whom she fell in love with, the boy who had betrayed the village for power, and the man who had destroyed Orochimaru. He was Uchiha Sasuke, the one who her mission said to capture.

When she was given this mission, she felt a small bubble of hope appear but shook it off reminding herself that he was the past and she was over him. Her mission came first, her feelings could wait.

She felt more and more convinced of this as she hurried to the village were he was supposedly to be staying in with his new companions.

Hmm, new companions… she thought… could pose as a problem

She shrugged to herself. No problem, she would just figure something out.

As she calculated her attack, the lights of the village became brighter.

Lying awake in the bed of the inn that he and the rest of Hebi were staying at, he looked up at the ceiling of his room. He hadn't been able to sleep well since before his family was slaughtered by his brother. He tightened his fists; the images from his memory were still painful. After all those years looking for the murderer, he had grown very strong.

Sasuke wasn't an idiot, he knew he was a lot more powerful than the snake sannin of whom he trained under for years. Finally, about 2 or more years ago, he had killed his evil teacher and formed Hebi. It consisted of Juugo, Suigetsu, and Karin. All of them were very annoying to him, but he needed their abilities.

Even though he had this new team, something inside of him missed his old one. Team 7 was like a family to him, though he never said it. When he left, he tried his hardest to cut his bonds and it was really hard to walk through the gates of Konoha. When he had last seen them, he had attempted to kill them, thinking it would make it easier. Truth is, it didn't. Seeing them only made him feel worse, but the cold hard truth was he couldn't return to them. Not yet.

He turned in his bed. It was so quiet, something wasn't right. He got up and flashed his sharingan around the room. He walked to the window and looked out.

Someone was coming closer, he could feel their chakra. His eyebrows shot up when he recognized it.

"Sakura…" he whispered.
