Where to start? I love happy endings, and I have the basis for one in mind. But like most stories, it's the journey that makes you feel whether the ending is full or if it simply falls flat. I beg you bear with me as I attempt to tell you as best as possible the true meaning of Hyde and Jackie's journey back to each other. Reviews welcome and actually encouraged! Thanks for reading!

A pool of gold, melting into the blue horizon is all she could see. She saw how that gold transformed gradually into a warm rose color and gave off a hint of plum, before it dissolved into the line that she felt was a boundary keeping her in. The only question was, what was in?

"Another glass Miss Burkhart?"

Startled she turned to the waiter and softly smiled with a nod.

"Right away Miss."

"Thank you, Mike"

She returned to admire the sunset but with caution of not getting lost in it again. She was aware of her different admirers that night and wanted to remain on alert as she had an agenda.

"I hate to keep you waiting. Sorry"

"No need, this should make it easier actually. Harvey, we need to close this deal and I don't have time for pleasantries."

"So much for my Hello. What's going on?"

"Harvey, I have to get back to the office, close this case and go home."

"Surely we can wrap it up tomorrow. Go home now, after all , I did make you wait too long."

"No, Harvey, WE need to close this deal, and I need to go home HOME. As in Wisconsin."

Shocked, Harvey looked at her and was speechless.

"AND…I need you to come with me."

"What?"

"I need you to co…"

"Why are you going back? The Foreman's just came to visit and you have so much going on at the firm. And Why on earth would you want me to go with you?!"

"Are you saying no?"

"of course not Jackie, but why? Why is my question to this bomb you just dropped on me."

Jackie sighed. She knew her direct approach would work but only for the shock. She still needed to explain to him the reason of why she needed to go back to the one place she swore she would never look back to. Even more so if she wanted him to go with her.

Harvey Adams was Jackie Burkhart's lifeline in New York and with time, he became her best friend. They had met when she had recently graduated Law School. She had tried Chicago for a hot minute after leaving Point Place, but decided that she wanted a challenge. She didn't just want to become a weather girl anymore, and journalism seemed to only go half way when uncovering a truth. No, she wanted to close the loop. She wanted to fight and bring things to a close. Fight and Closure. Those seemed to be the fire in her motivation. And so she went to college in Chicago and then Harvard Law School on a scholarship that even made Pam proud.

There she met Harvey as he was visiting an old professor and although their first meeting was not very smooth, he eventually convinced her to join his firm and she moved to New York.

"I finally got an offer on the house and I have to go back there, sign the paperwork and clear it out of the last furnishings. And I just cant go back there alone. Harvey, I need you. Please. You're my rock, my strength and I will crumble clearing out that house piece by piece."

With his most serious face, but still smoldering countenance he said:"When are we leaving?"
