Man, did Percy believe that he was cursed. Not only was he the child of two great prophecies and basically either hated or loved by Olympus; but life just had to throw another ball at him.
Allow this explanation so you can understand what's going on.
About a couple of weeks after the defeat of Gaia, everything was just in right in both New Rome and Camp-Half Blood when a new camper stumbled into the greek camp. He was ragged, worn down and bloody.
He was in the infirmary for about a week before he came out and was immediately claimed by Poseidon. Percy was happy to have another brother, one that he could hang out with since Tyson was in the forges in Atlantis.
The kid, Blake Summers, just in total a real jackass that didn't know when to shut his mouth and had an ego that was larger than Texas and Zeus combined. But Percy was used to people like that and tried his hardest to get on his little brother's good side; not noticing how things changed around him.
At first he didn't notice, since he mostly spent time with the Seven, Counselors and the leaders of the Roman camp. Only when the noted that the campers would give him dirty looks and whisper behind his back would he realize what was going on.
Blake was feeding them lies, each designed for each Half-Blood children.
He was a disease upon the camp with the way they looked at him and flocked to his brother, but he thought it was fine. As long as he had his friends.
And they believed him, stuck by him and didn't believe any of the crap that Blake fed them; they knew Percy's fatal flaw and they sure weren't going to be the dumb ones and betray it.
Chris Rodriguez and the Stoll brothers tried to reign in their siblings horrible pranks on him. Katie tried to stop her siblings from attempting to strangle him with vines every time he approached them. Clarisse would bark orders at her siblings to get a brain and realize that he wasn't the problem, Blake was. Jason and Piper would try to convince the Aphrodite cabin that he didn't rip up their clothes and call them ugly. Leo made sure that he was away from his sibling after the finished creating a defective piece of weaponry, so he wouldn't get harmed. Will would always tell Percy when his siblings were heading out to archery practice and allow him and Nico to Shadow Travel away. Chiron would try to talk sense into everyone else.
The romans didn't bother to give Blake the time of day. They thought he was a weak coward, someone not worthy to be in the presence of the Romans, not worthy to be the brother of their honorary Preator. They even forbid him from entering the main camp, not wanting to be bother with him.
Frank would scowl and crack his knuckles when the idiot got close and Hazel would merely tempt the moron with jewels to see if he would take them.
But what shocked Percy the most was that Annabeth did nothing to reign her Cabin in. Granted they were the smartest, but they were always throwing books at him and yelling at him for ruining their library, which he had never done.
Percy merely brushed it off when she became distant, with the Titan war putting her behind he redesigning she needed all the time she would get.
So Percy merely contented himself with his friends and tried to ignore the feeling in his gut that something terrible was going to happen.
And a chain of events set it off.
First was meeting Hestia in his cabin, Blake was out boasting so he decided to get some alone time while he could.
"Woah! Uh-Lady Hestia," he bowed, blushing as she turned to him.
"Perseus," she whispered hurriedly, her voice laced with pure worry. "You need to be careful this upcoming week, if your not you may need to run!"
"Huh," Percy jolted, getting up and looking down at the young girl.
"I have a friends who can help you should it come to that, but know this...you will be in Alaska should what I sense come true," She warned before vanishing, leaving the feeling of warmth and the smell of homemade cookies behind.
Second was finding his mother and father dead on his birthday.
No words escaped his lips as he fell to his knees, tears welling up in his eyes as he looked to his limp parents bodies. He crawled over to his mother, her throat was slit and her eyes were cold. He cradled her close and went to knit his hands with hers, only to stop short and take out a crumpled piece of paper. The words on it made him remember Hestia's warning.
"I have a friends who can help you should it come to that, but know this...you will be in Alaska should what I sense come true,"
The note had a few words on it, all of it connecting to what Hestia told him a week prior.
Hestia's warning…..
Security Organization...
Alaska….
Safe….
Master? Japanese…
The last two made no sense, but he would piece together the other four. He didn't dwell on it long as he called the police and gave his report to them, crying as they took away his mother and Step-dad, the officers giving him hugs and the contact info to the cremation center.
Lucky number three is when he caught Annabeth and his brother.
Now after his mother and Paul had dies he had gone through a depression stint and tried to talk to Annabeth who merely brushed him off and sent him away. Once he had comes to terms with what had happened he steeled himself up and set to practicing his speech so he could propose to Annabeth.
He had be practicing for about a solid four hours until a large boom made him grab his sword and rush out, only to stop dead at Thalia's roar.
"YOU BITCH. COMPLETE AND UTTER BITCH," She roared, somewhere near the beach. "I SHOULD KILL YOU WHERE YOU STAND."
Running toward the beach his heart jumped at the sight of the Hunter's holding their Lieutenant back, but broke when he saw what was happening.
Annabeth and Blake where wrapped up in one another's arms, they were obviously making out since Annabeth's lips were swollen and Blake was red faced.
"Percy hasn't been emotionally available to me! He's practically abandoned me Thals! He's only with me for my titles," Annabeth protested.
"RICH," Thalia screamed, struggling even more. "KELP FOR BRAINS HAS EVEN MORE HEROIC TITLES THAN YOU! GODS DAMMIT! HIS MOTHER AND FATHER WERE KILLED OF COURSE HE WON'T BE THERE! HE'S TRYING TO COME TO TERMS WITH THAT! AND WHAT DO YOU THINK WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF HE FOUND YOU INSTEAD OF ME, HUH?"
"I'd kill you both," Percy spoke up, all of them jumping as he mechanically walked forward.
"P-percy.." Ananbeth squeaked.
"I fought for you. Loved you. Fell into Tartarus for YOU," Percy screamed, the waves crashing violently around them. "But I won't kill you. I'll kill him," Percy then jumped on Blake and wrapped his hands around his throat, choking him.
"Hold them back," he vaguely heard Clarisse yell and saw the Cabin counselors and hunters holding everyone back, allowing him to do what he wanted.
Suddenly a wave crashed over him, Annabeth and Blake and his father appeared.
"What in hades are you doing to my son," He yelled, ripping Percy off Blake.
"He's a liar and a horrible person dad," Percy protested. "How can you defend him!"
"He's far better than you," Poesia yelled, glaring at Percy.
"I've fought two wars for you," Percy snarled. "I have stayed loyal to you! Is that not enough father!"
"You are no son of mine if you attack your own kin," Poseidon snarled. "I, Lord of the Seas, hereby disown you Perseus Jackson."
Thunder boomed around him and Percy felt numb. None of the counselors screaming at his father registered.
Disowned, huh?
"Begone," Poseidon snarled, aiming his Trident right at Percy.
The last thing he heard were his friends screams of terror.
When he awoke, Percy was warm and content. Then the memories flood and he bolted up with a gasp, grunting as pain jolted through his body.
"Easy there," Hestia cooed as she sat down beside him. "You were hurt pretty bad when I got to you, I just barely managed to save you."
"Why did you," Percy gasped.
"Because you acknowledge me and are a true hero. A friends of the right Gods," she chuckled, smoothing his hair back. "Zeus has proclaimed you a traitor and many of the gods side with him. Only myself, Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Hera, Hephaestus, Aphrodite and Hades disagree."
"Why them," He croaked, looking at Hestia curiously.
"You got Hades his throne back and treat his son as an equal. You are humble and kind, something Artemis admires and your loyalty isn't a bad thing, Apollo trusts his sister's opinion. Hera is grateful that you don't absolutely despise her after the who 'switch' incident. Aphrodite and Hephaestus managed to sort out their marriage problems due to an offhand comment you made and are grateful. Hermes is thankful that you don't despise his son for what he did," She explained.
"What now, do I go to this friend that you and my mother knew in Alaska," Percy asked.
"That would be best...but it will challenge everything you know," Hestia warned.
"What do you mean."
"Us gods are not the strongest thing in this universe, nor are the titans or the giants. I have come to terms with that, we are merely catalysts for the humans to put their worship and beliefs into," she explained. "There you will discover the true meaning of power and righteousness."
"A security organization," Percy raised a brow.
"The leader is a good person. Humble and willing to help like you. You could become great friends and discover more than you could imagine," Hestia chuckled.
"Okay, when will I be ready to go," Percy chuckled. "And what about my friends?"
"Once you are settled I will inform them of the situation, but you need to settle first. It will be shocking," she chuckled. "As for when you can go, how about know. My feeling of home should have healed you now."
Percy's eyes widened as he felt no pain in his body and moved without flinching.
"Wow!"
"Come," she held out her hand.
Without a thought he grabbed it and they soon left in a column of fire, only to reappear in a type of modernistic lobby, made of white steel and sharp edges. Outside he could see the snowstorm raging outside, and wondered how he would survive.
The sound of a sliding door made him jump and turn to face this leader who would teach him many different things.
He wasn't sure what he was expecting, maybe a battle hardened warrior with a bunch of scars or a old man with a long beard and a wrinkly face.
But he didn't expect a percy, fiery haired, amber eyes female, about his age to come bounding out. With another girl, light lavender hair and glasses, with a part of her hair covering one eye.
"Hello," she chirped. "I'm Ritsuka Fujimaru, Master of Chalda. I welcome you to Chaldea Security Organization, defending the world and Human History!"
