They're all grown up.
Moze Brown, who was once the stupidest, most reckless little boy you could imagine, was now 28 years old. He had a wife, a year-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and a very pregnant wife to get home to. His own home, too. Who let that idiot buy a house?
Senri Aikyo, the little lightbulb who couldn't control her own quirk, and who ended up lighting the house up at two in the morning when she sneezed, was 27 now. She was still single, fully and wholeheartedly devoted to her work as a Pro Hero. She was somewhere in the top 30s now, too. She's finally being recognized for her work, and is constantly away.
Asuka blows a tuft of hair out of her face, watching it float back down. She's sitting back in a beanbag chair, laptop in her lap with piles of paperwork to the side of her and a thermos of coffee on the other side. She leans back, looking up at the ceiling.
Constantly busy.
She hasn't seen either of them in a while. Months, probably. Hasn't even been in contact with Senri in about a year now - some underground work, maybe? Multiple underground jobs? Who knows.
She saw Mikoto and Mokami the other day. Mokami called her old again, and though Asuka laughed it off with Mikoto as she always does, her mind wonders if she really is getting too old.
Mikoto tells her that Moze, bless that little man, had a beard now. She snorts at the idea, remembering his little face chubby with baby fat when he was still in school. But, no, he would look different these days, wouldn't he?
And Senri - has she grown out her hair? Cut it short? Asuka brings a hand up to feel the soft tufts of dark purple hair atop her own head - she'd cut it short enough to just reach her ears a few months ago. It was a little longer after growing out for a bit, but still barely reaching her shoulders. Senri used to love copying her hair after her older sisters' style. If Asuka grew it out, then so did little Senri. If Asuka tied it into a braid, so did little Senri.
Moze laughed at that a lot when they were younger, telling Senri she was copying 'a grandma look' - that must be where little Mokami get's the idea to call her grandmother... She reminds herself to have a little chat to Moze about what he's teaching his daughter.
She reminds herself to talk to him at all.
She reminds herself to talk to either of them at some point in the near future.
It was so quiet around her house.
She leans back again, and shuts her eyes.
Is this what it's like to have baby fever...?
