This was for a challenge on Rentfic101 that Liss started. (It was Message #385 if anyone's interested) The only criteria was that it had to be entitled "Ew, a booger!" The alternate title for it is "I Am Insane." Because I am. Some of you from Rentfic101 probably read it already, but I figured if the rest of you are as bored as I am you might be entertained by it. It really doesn't have much of a plot and was just written for fun. :-)"Ew, a booger!"
Mark and Roger were sitting in the loft. Roger was sad. He and Mimi had broken up because he had accused Mimi of being a lying cheating whore and for some strange reason, she had gotten mad at him and said it was over. So, he was sad. Which meant Mark was sad too, because Mark was Roger's best friend and he cared about him a lot.
Mark decided he was going to try and cheer Roger up. He tried telling knock-knock jokes. The only problem was, knock-knock jokes need two people, and whenever it was Roger's turn to say something, all Roger would do was sit and stare at the wall. So, Mark eventually stopped telling knock-knock jokes. Then he tried dancing, because he wasn't a very good dancer and whenever they went to clubs, Roger always laughed at him. He turned on the radio and danced. Roger glared at him. Then Mark remembered that when they went to bars and Roger laughed at his dancing, they were usually drunk. So, he stopped dancing.
Well, Mark just could not think of anything else to do that might cheer Roger up. So, he sat down on the couch and started to think. While he was thinking, his nose started to itch. So he picked it. All of a sudden, when his index finger was shoved as far up his left nostril as it would go, he felt a pair of eyes on him. He yanked his finger out and snuck a glance at Roger, who was staring at him. Mark felt his face turn red. Roger's gaze moved to Mark's finger.
"Ew, a booger!" Roger suddenly cried, pointing at Mark's hand. And sure enough, there, on the end of Mark's finger, was a giant, gooey booger. Mark was sure his face was as bright red as a tomato. But Roger was laughing! Mark had cheered him up! Mark smiled. It was kind of funny, he guessed, even though it was so embarrassing.
Through his laughter, Roger managed to hand Mark a Kleenex. Mark sheepishly wiped the booger off his finger and made the mistake of looking at Roger, who was still laughing. Soon Mark couldn't control himself any longer and was laughing as well. They laughed and laughed and laughed, and then Roger fell off the couch he was laughing so hard. Then they laughed some more, once Mark was sure Roger hadn't hurt himself.
Without warning, their eyes met and their laughter died instantly. They leaned closer and kissed passionately, all thoughts of boogers and Mimi completely erased from their minds. Mark and Roger then proceeded to fall madly in love with each other and live happily ever after.
THE END
