A/N: one shot with Nessie and Jacob, when she looked like 12.

"You`re just afraid I will catch the biggest elk again, aren`t you?" Jacob teased Nessie and lightly punched her in the arm. They were always fooling around with each other, sometimes it could end up in a real discussion.

"Oh yeah, right because I am just so afraid of that" Nessie rolled her eyes sarcastically; sitting in the couch with Jacob. They were all alone, and Jacob was babysitting her and the fact that they had called it babysitting had made her a little moody.

"Alright, I`ll make you a deal; come with me and hunt an elk and I promise you, you can sleepover at my house and come to our werewolf game night-" if I can convince your parents he finished in his thoughts.

"Consider that as a deal Jacob Black" She smirked. Nessie had been picking up an attitude lately; they all thought it was caused because of the start of her puberty.

"On three then, "Nessie was out the door before he could barely count to one. Jacob shook his head in disbelief and phased, running after her.

Nessie had caught an elk and sucked it dry. It was a bigger one then Jacob had. She felt fed up, but she still craved more. There was a deer running past her and she got it and fed on that one too.

"It`s rude to watch someone eat their food" Nessie said after she was finished and made a grimace at Jacob. "But you watch me all the time" he defended himself. "That`s different. By the way I won the bet" She stated back at him. "That`s not fair, you cheated" He looked at her. "I`m younger, it`s only fair" She looked back at him. "Ok, you win, this time anyway" He said and lifted his arm to show her that he surrender, she laughed.

"My parents make me cut out most human blood. I only get a cup once a week, so it`s better to be fed up and stay on the safe side" she smiled proudly like she had done something clever.

"You`re right little girl, that`s a smart thing to do" Jacob said smiled at her and sat her on to his back to walk home, were the others waited for them.

"Mommy, daddy" Nessie hugged her parents "Can I please sleepover at Jacob`s tonight? Pretty please?" she asked them.

"it`s fine by me, but it`s your father`s call sweetie" Bella said sweetly to her and Nessie turned to her father making a puppy face, waiting for an answer. Edward considered the idea for a second, looking at Jacob.

"Have fun, but be home by 10 am sharp tomorrow" He called it and glanced at Jacob.

"I`ll make sure she`s home by then" Jacob replied to Edward, in a nicely tone.

"Yay" Nessie proclaimed and hugged her father "Auntie Alice and Auntie Rosalie, can you help me pick out a purse and an outfit?" She asked them. She was very in to fashion.

They went upstairs and Edward and Bella turned to Jacob.

"Keep her safe Jacob" Edward warned him, he nodded "Of course I will, I`ll always protect her no matter what" Jacob reassured him.

"We know" Bella hugged him "Just keep her out Seth`s remarks for tonight" She chuckled under her breath, very low but with their supernatural hearing, they all heard it well.

"Too much fun for you tonight" Jacob said putting a half asleep Nessie to bed.

"I don`t want to go to sleep" She said a little grumpy. "You have to, you`re going home by 10 tomorrow, we would have to be there precisely or else your father will kill me"

"Stay with me then" Nessie pleaded him and held his hand, he lay down beside her.

"I promise I`ll always stay with you" Jacob whispered to her and kissed her on her head, not too sure if she had heard it. Nessie answered by caressing his cheek, barely awake.
