The magic of poison

"SAKURA!"

I was working at the hospital when I hear my name being called.

"Naruto. This is a hospital. Be quiet!" I told him.

"Sorry! But you won't believe this! We just got a mission!" He was so excited when we got a new one.

"So? Sai will be with you." I said. Naruto however shook his head.

"Nope! Just you and me! Grandma Tsunade said so." I grinned.

"Naruto..."

"Sakura. We only get this one shot! It's our chance to look for Sasuke!" He sad me at his name.

"When do we leave?!"

After heading home to pack for at least a few days, Naruto and I headed out on our way.

"Naruto are you sure this is the way?" I had to ask. Knowing him for a long time.

"Sure! It's close to that rogue ninja camp we took down a week ago." He said.

Why was he so happy? Was he really wanting to bring Sasuke back home.

After he saved me from my own poisoned Kuni, I shouldn't be asking him for this.

My confession didn't work. How did he know I was lying? Or was I lying?

"Get down!" Naruto said. Pushing my thoughts aside, I saw what he was talking about.

"Wait! Is that...Hinata?" I asked. It had to be her.

"What are they doing?!" Naruto asked angry tone.

I studied the men around the area and noticed that it wasn't Hinata.

"That's Neji! Dressed as a girl?!" I said a little too loud. The men looked our way and saw us in the bushes.

"Crap! Run!" Naruto said. I followed him as fast as I could. One of them grabbed me and pinned me down.

"Get off me!" I screamed. Kicking him off and running once again. The guy grabbed for me again but missed.

I ran and Naruto came back.

"Sakura! Are you okay?" He asked me. Before I could answer A dart hit him in the neck.

"Run now! Talk later!" I said.

We ran till Tenten showed up. "Quick! In here!" She said We ran into a cave and Guy and Lee were here.

"What happened?" I asked.

Naruto and stood catching our breath.

"Well...We were tracking down some bandits till we heard Sasuke's name. Lee and Neji wanted to be stupid and chase him. Which you saw..."

Naruto and I snickered. "Neji in a dress. Yes." I said. Lee blushed. "I'm sorry Sakura. I thought it was him." He told me.

I got on my knees. "Lee. I know he is still out there. I don't know if he plans on coming back. But right now...I'm not worried." I faked a smile.

Naruto collapsed behind me. And I was in a panic. He still had the dart in his hand. I took it and smelled what was on it.

"Shoot!" I said knowing what it was. "What's wrong with Naruto?!" Lee asked. "Poison!" I said. I reached for my bag but it wasn't there.

I remembered when the guy grabbed me, he must have got my bag.

"Crap! I don't have my supplies." Naruto was sweating and shaking. what was I going to do?

I knew one other thing I could do. "Tenten. Lee. I need some herbs." I told them what to look for and they left in a flash. I breathed in deep. Knowing what I was about to do...

"Naruto. Please don't take this the wrong was." I whispered. I put my mouth to his neck and sucked on his blood to get the poison out.

I hoped Naruto passed out from the pain, so he wouldn't see just how red my face was. Wait! Why was my face red?!

After a few hours Lee and Tenten returned and I was able to help him.

"Thanks guys." I said. I picked up Naruto and headed back to the village. Naruto needed to get real help.

Once we got back I sat in the recovery room with Naruto. Waiting for him to wake. This feels familiar. I thought. Remembering him promising to bring Sasuke back to me. Even after all this, he still wants to bring him home.

"Sakura. Go home and get some rest." Said a nurse.

I nodded and got up. Before leaving I kissed Naruto on the top of his head.

The next day...

"Sakura!" Here we go again.
