A demigod rushed at me, but I batted him away. My target was Perseus Jackson.
Remember your duty. Kronos' voice hissed inside my mind. Your main task is to kill Perseus Jackson. Avoid the other Demigods if you have to.
"Rawrrr!" I roared. Percy seemed unfazed, waving his sword and slashing at my cousins. One by one, they burst into yellow dust. I got mad. How dare he slay my cousins? Fuming, I charged at Perseus, not stopping to think what part of my flesh is exposed to him. A blade flashed, and I felt pain searing at my ankle.
"Nice, Seaweed brain." Roaring and spitting, I whipped my head around to find another demigod. She had blond hair tucked into a ponytail, and her eyes were stormy gray. An annoying child of Athena.
She was the one who ruined it all.
While I was distracted, I felt something move behind me. Before I had time to realize what they were doing, a blade flashed – celestial bronze – and someone slashed it through my neck. I staggered, blood pouring out of the wound, and looked back to find Perseus smirking at me.
"Never lose concentration." He advised. I threw him one last look of hatred before I burst into dust, Kronos shrieking angrily in my mind.

I roared, shrieking at the world – Earth – so far away. I was stuck in Tartarus the bottomless pit, far beyond the earth. I coughed. The wound that had cost me my life is just a reminder now. A reminder for revenge.
I needed to get out. I needed to get out now. I'm tired of being in Tartarus, It's been months since Kronos was defeated. We had been so sure that he would win. In the end, it was that piece of scum that had betrayed us all and sacrificed to destroy the lord.
Suddenly, I felt change stirring beneath me. Excitement pounded in my ears. Maybe I was about to get out of this torture chamber. Maybe I could be free.
My head spun. Tartarus's empty blackness turned upside down, and a voice whispered in my mind.
It's the time of Gaea, my children. Reform, and rise out of Tartarus!
