I ran over the pavement, Nico by my side. In the haze of trying to escape I was to remember the details of how we actually escaped.
Flashback...
Scientists were running in every direction,completly ignoring the winged teen running down the hallway. I kept going, trying to keep my wings as hidden as possible. I heard a deep, husky voice come over the intercom, " All erasers on duty, catch the experiments!" I felt my blood run cold as the call of a wolf echoed through the halls. I desperatly flung open my wings and took to the air above the heads of the scientists, who still seemed to be ignoring me. I turned around to look for erasers an almost had a heart attack. Where my feet should have been, or otherwise where my whole body should have been... was nothing. Then I realized I had a power. An awesome, amazing power that made me completly invisible.
That's why the scientists are ignoring me, I thought.
I landed lightly on the ground and took off running, weaving through scientists and other experiments on the run. I turned to see if anything was following me. But (clutsy me, of course) slammed full force into some kid. I looked at the boy, astounded by what I saw. He had shaggy black hair that reached just above his shoulders. His dark onyx eyes looked down at me in suprise. He had olive skin and was wearing a black tee, dark wash skinny jeans, and a pair of black and red D.C.'s.
"Who are you?!" I questioned, shocked to see a normal person.
"I'm Nico di Angelo, son of Hades...And you must be Luminexa," he said with a smirk.
" Crazy boy in black say what?!"
