I've been so excited for David James Elliott's to NCIS: LA return as Harm Rabb, Jr. since the announcement was made several weeks ago. However, the last couple days have made me doubt the writers. I seriously believe they have botched the development of the Harm/Mac relationship and I have a hunch the return will not satisfy all shippers' hearts.
TV Insider addressed the return and asked several questions as a lead up into tonight's episode. Here's what the article said:
Fourteen years ago, JAG ended with couple Harm and Mac tossing a coin to determine whose career would take precedence. But we never saw the outcome!
David James Elliott: You find out what happened. [At this point] they haven't been in touch for some time. There's been some distance. But we work together again and interact and get along very much like we did back then.

Seriously, this just makes me so mad. I really believe many of the writers here would do a better job with the Harm/Mac relationship….most of you already have! I'll still watch just because I'm a fan of JAG and I'd love to see who wins the toss. But, I'm afraid our shipper hearts will be broken.
