At first he was always helping. Whenever he saw someone fall, he tried to help them up. Whenever he saw someone alone, he talked to them. Whenever he saw someone hurt, he tried to comfort. When all he got was cold stares and cold shoulders he cried. Because all he wanted was love and he would do anything to get it.

Sakuras' fake love declaration hurt him, Mizukis' faked admiration hurt him, Gaaras' fear hurt him, Sasukes' despise hurt him. Because they showed him what he could never have. Because they showed him what he did not really want.
But Kakashis´ indifference hurt him the most. Because it showed him what he could never escape.
