(Hey, sorry about the original story with all the codings, gotta love fanfic ^^' Anyway, Enjoy~!)

Sunday evening. Midnight to be precise.

The streets are crowded with people going in and out of clubs. Some fully cognizant, others so wasted as they vomited straight into the sewer because it's more convenient than a trash can.

A older woman dressed in the finest clothes Manhattan had to offer was escorted out with a man 3 times younger than her.

Cougar.

The camera clicks fast, getting as much proof as the memory card could hold before leaping across buildings and out of sight.

Minutes later she lands near an old church outside of New York. The air was a little chilly so she bundles her self closer into her scarf and heads into the church.

Inside candles were still lit giving her light to maneuver through the benches. The room smelled of sulfur and oils which gave it a sense of warmth from the bitter cold.

Walking down the hall she opens a door down into the cellar. Her boots clicking against the marble floor echoing in the distance. She walks past rows of wine bottles and barrels, taking one for herself to drink tonight and replacing it with cash in the morning. She may be a thief sometimes but she's not above stealing from nuns.

Coming to the end of the cellar there's a large wooden door with a large lock that needed to be opened with the strength of 10 people. Luckily she was stronger than that.

Inside the compound was your typical living room area. Couch, TV, chairs, the usual.

A boy about six years old with short black hair was sprawled down on the rug reading a book.

"Hey bud, whatcha doing up so late?" she says kneeling down and running his back.

"Reading," he says not looking up.

"What's it called?" she asks looking over his shoulder.

"To kill a mockingbird."

"Nice, did you have fun at Sunday school?"

"Not really. It's kinda boring learning about Jesus."

"I feel ya. But that was the agreement so we could stay here. I'll make it up to you soon. I promise."

"You say that all the time mom."

"Yeah, and I mean it now let's get you to bed you little stinker," she says taking the book out of his hand carefully not to lose his place.

"But mom~" he whines.

"No buts, bed. I already get enough backlash from Sister Helen about you sleeping in class. Bed!" He rolls his eyes at her and starts walking to his room with her following behind. She tucked him into bed tightly with a kiss goodnight.

"Mom."

"Yeah kiddo?"

"How long do we have to stay here?" She huffs and replies back.

"Not too long, just until mommy can find a new place then we can move out."

"When will that be?"

"Soon, now go to sleep." The boy slowly shuts his eyes and falls into a deep sleep. Giving him one last kiss on the head she watches her son drift off. "Night Max."
