This is about the best dog that a girl could ever ask for. A true love sotry that will forever live a legendary for generations to come. This is my story, a second story about a protector. A True alpha dog that will never be replaced by any other dog as he will forever have my heart. I will create a story that april's sister will be the star of my story which will be slightly fictional but based on true story of events on how my dog and i found each other, ten years ago. If you have read my other story about mikey with klunk that was based on my life when i lost my beloved familiar cat seven years ago back in 2011. Now only yesterday, my dearest beloved dog passed away. And this is tribute to him. Love you cujo. :'( I also have two other dogs, one is the half sister of Cujo. As she too was a runt and the breeder at the time, knew exactly which one i'd take from him. Kira is a rottie x kelpie where cujo was a rottie x american staffy x american pitbull x boxer. he and i would play spar alot, as he was my partner in crime in everything. but in a good way. He was the best dog ever lived, my family was so jealous of how much he'd protect me and my kids from every one that he didnt like.

he loved children, biggest cherry hound lol but absolutely despised men in general. Cujo had marked me from the very first moment we met and no man could get passed him with out his permission especially if he felt any woman was not nice to me, he'd let them know by sitting between my legs and snarl, telling them that i was his treasure. absolutely loved that dog, he was definitely my soul mate.

19th june, 2008

Robyn sat in her room, literally heartbroken as she recieved the news from her doctor she was unable to concieve. Her partner of three years had left her for another woman that recently fallen pregnant. This had devastated her more, eating ice cream to drown her sorrows when she heard the door bell. Wiping the tears away, but more streamed down her face and walked to the door once she left the spoon in the ice cream.

Both April and Shadow walked in the room and embraced Robyn. "Oh robyn, so sorry. We have, well Shadow has a idea that may cheer you up." April said, hopeful. Shadow looked up, with a hopeful smile and lightly tugged on her aunty's hand. Robyn sighed, lightly caressed her nieces cheek as she held her hand and continued to glance up with hope.

"Aunty robbie, we found a cute puppy that you may like." Shadow cooed. Robyn smiled alittle and answered. "Did you? What kind of puppy" she asked, curiously. April smiled and insisted her sister to dry her tears and grab her coat. At first, Robyn refused then surrendered as she was pleaded by her niece. "Please aunty robbie. Would you come and see?"

Robyn sighed and finally agreed. "Alright, let me get my coat." Shadow jumped for joy as she happily chanted. "Getting a new puppy for aunty!" April smiled, chuckled alittle and softly said. "Alright shadow, aunty has to see the puppy first. Then we will see if she will ok."

Shadow giggled and answered but she already knew the outcome. "Ok, mummy. Aunty will love this puppy."

One hour later, the three finally arrived to the address where a breeder had advertised about puppies wanting a good home. Knocked on the door lightly and waited. Robyn embraced herself as she sighed. April smiled warmly and said. "This will be the best decision you have made, sis." Robyn smiled back and nodded then glanced to the owner as he opened the door. "Oh hi, how are you?"

"Hi, we are here to see the puppies that you have advertised." Aprilsaid softly. "Oh yes, let me just get them." the owner replied and went to bring out three puppies which had begun whimpered and growled at Robyn. April and Shadow didnt feel right about them until they saw the fourth that managed to make his way to the door on his own. "What about that one?" April asked, pointing to the runt as the owner's daughter picked him and handed to her father as he squirmed for robyn.

"Oh? This one is a runt and dont think he will be appropriate for sale." Robyn was silent and reached out to him, lightly petted him. The owner tried to pursuade robyn to take one of his siblings but they bit her hands, and she refused to take them. The howling from the runt was unbearable for the owner to handle. The owner's wife yelled and said, give the beastly thing to Robyn and make them leave. Robyn, April and shadow were astounded by the horrid ignorance that they were going to drown this beautiful puppy because he was a runt. Robyn felt a connection to the runt and demanded for the runt instead. The owner was not pleased and handed the runt puppy to her and what made robyn cry again was how the puppy would reach out with his tiny runty puppy limbs like a baby and happily barked.

This adorable tiny creature, smiled and licked her face. She smiled but nuzzled him. The owner was shocked to witness such connection between robyn and the puppy. Once again, he tried to pursuade Robyn in taking one of his siblings but the runt faced him and snarled. Finally the owner said. "Alright, I can see you have chosen your puppy. Please go, dont come back and demand for another one if this dies."

Robyn glared in disgust and said, immediately firmly. "Dont worry, I wont be back. I will prove you wrong that he will grow into a big strong guard dog. You will be sorry!" Robyn sworn, walking away with her sister, niece and new puppy. That she had decided to name the first name that came to her whilst Shadow happily took the puppy and giggled as he licked her face. "What are we going to name him, aunty?"

Robyn smiled and answered. "Triton. Triton O'Neil." Looking to her sister, as April smiled and lighlty grasped her shoulder. "That is a perfect name for a perfect guardian." Shadow happily, cooed as she raised little triton in the open air space above her and chanted his name whilst he happily barked.

One year later, the owner had caught Robyn and triton out on their daily walks one day and he was absolutely astounded to what he had witnessed. He had to approach them. Triton had suddenly stopped when he sensed and smelt a unfamiliar scent which he immediatley stood fiereced and begun growling as he stepped back infront of Robyn. Robyn blinked worried at first as she asked. "What is it, boy?" Then she looked up to the man before them and recognised him. "Oh, it has been a year since we last met."

"Yes it sure has and you certainly have proven me wrong." he replied, trembled as he was too fearful to step closer and continued. "He is beautiful, are you sure this is the runt i gave you last year?"

Robyn knelt down and lightly petted his neck, to assure him that he was alright and be nice. Triton sat down inbetween Robyn's feet, never moved as he continued to show his teeth and lowly growl. "Yes, he sure is. This is triton that you said you and your wife wanted to drown."

Triton begun to snarl but remained sitting between her feet waiting to have permission to attack. The man stepped back in fear and replied. "Wow, you have done magnificent. Now I am kicking myself, I will never ever say that again as long i shall live. I am so very sorry. Uh, what is his name?" He stammered. "Triton." Robyn answered. The firghtened man cleared his throat and knelt down, as he apologised. "I am very sorry triton."

Triton, remained where he sat but continued to snarl. The man immediately took his response as definite answer that he wouldnt forgive him. "I take he will not forgive me." he said. "Well, maybe in time, he may. Rememeber that dogs do rememeber what is said about them." Robyn told the man and he nodded as he replied. "I promise to never discriminate the runts again."

That was the last they saw him.

April and Shadow, went looking for a new pet that they couldnt bare to witness thier friend, Mikey to mourn for klunk as it has been almost seven years now. While in thier search, Robyn and her beloved companion triton accompanied them.

Shadow laughed as she and triton play together whilst she tightly grasped the lead with both April and Robyn followed close behind. April saw how much her dear sister, loved her companion as she was unable to have to children herself. And, she had grew stronger. April felt jealous at times, how happy and protected her sister was by this magnificient animal. Triton and Robyn were definitely and indeedly inseparable. And hated how people would label him as dangerous when he wished to greet others. Especially other children and women.

"Keep that beast away from my child!" A woman protested as she pulled her child away then continued. "That beast should be put down! Get that girl away from him!" Shadow grew angry and shouted. "He is beautiful! You are just jealous that he aint your dog! You are a big meanie." Triton stood before shadow as his hair raised from his nose to this tail and lowly snarled. Both April and Robyn hurried to them, immediately taking the lead as Triton sat between robyn's legs and continued snarling.

Whilst April stood beside her sister and daughter with triton. The woman glanced in shock and pointed at triton. "Put that mutt down or i will call the police!" she demanded. "You will do no such thing, lady. This dog will never hurt no child, or other women unless you give him a reason to do so. If you were a man, that is another story. But since you have called him a beast. He dont like you." Shadow knelt down and cuddled triton as he licked her face, she giggled and the child wanted to pet him as well.

"Mummy, can i pet the puppy. He is friendly." the child begged as he tried to step forward but his mother refused and picked him up in her arms and stormed off. The child cried. Triton saw how the child cried and looked up to robyn with broken glance as he started whimper softly. Robyn knelt down, hugged him and said. "I know, big boy. She is mean, and it is sad that child is sad. Come on, we have to find a new kitty for mikey."

The clan continued until they found a pet shop where they finally found a cute kitten for mikey but were shocked to find one that was similar to klunk. Robyn and triton remained outside whilst shadow and april went inside. Robyn and triton, happily played while they waited. Shadow giggled as she saw them play and wanted to join in as well. Leaving her mothers side to join her aunty and triton. April looked around herself then exhaled with relief when she realised shadow was with her sister.

"How can I help you today, ma'am?" the shop keeper greeted, with a smile. Faced the woman and answered. "Yes, I am looking for a kitten but must be a boy though."

"Ah, I see. We indeed have one male kitten available and we are hoping he'd be adopted soon as he was going to be sent to the pound tommorrow as the owners didnt wish to take him back." The shop keeper explained. Raised her brow, confused and slightly angered. "Why is that? Why sent the kitten to the pound? What is wrong with him?" April asked, multiple questions and glanced down to the kitten that slept contently in a tight ball within the cubicle. April was outraged and stated with calm tone but firm. "What is wrong with this kitten? There is nothing wrong with him?"

The shop keeper shrugged and answered, fearful. "No one wants a black cat. They say black cats bring terrible luck." April was furious and said. "That is a load of nonsense. Load of stupid superstition. Let me see him." she ordered.

The shop keeper reached in and tried to pick up the kiten but he scratched her hand. April was surprised but this didnt change her mind. "I'll do it then." At first the kitten was lowly growling at her but april was persistent and waited as she held her hand before the kitten then finally, the kitten stood up and purred lightly. The shop keeper was shocked and asked. "How did you do that?"

"You showed no empathy to the kitten." April explained. "How much?" she asked with a proud smile. "Just take him, he is yours." the shop keeper said, giving him for free. April smiled and took the kitten happily, walked out then said. "Shadow, uncle mikey has new kitty."

Shadow happily cried. "Can I call uncle mikey?"

"It is a surprise, if we call him then he wont be surprised when seeing this cute kitty." April answered, then she looked to triton as he tilted his big head curious to the little infant. Flattening his ears and slowly leaned forward, and lighlty sniffed the kitten. The kitten trembled and curled up into april's chest. Triton whimpered sad and looked to robyn. "Oh aww, triton. Kitty is just scared. Not your fault." She assured, giving him a hug.

"He will be alright. Let's get to the lair." April smiled. Robyn and Shadow nodded, then as they were about to take thier first step on thier journery. Triton stopped, his ears flattened and hair raised from his nose to his tail and lowly growled. Both April and Robyn noticed that triton saw a group of men approaching them, but they were unaware of their presence as they were busy with thier conversation of earlier event. Triton had caught scent of thier hormones and smell of alcohol.

Before either could speak, Triton bolted towards a group of african-american men. The group stopped in their tracks for a second before they scattered for thier lives. Triton continued to chased down after one man of the group while his friends had scattered. Hiding in garbage trash cans, or behind them and within the staircases of front porches. They witnessed Robyn, April and shadow chasing after Triton whilst they called out to him, pleading him not to harm the man even though he was just doing what he believed was right as he was trained to do so.

The man looked back, huffed and puffed as he begged for triton to be held back. Triton barked, growled and snarled as he continued to chase the man until he finally found a tree to reach for. The poor man was so tired but still leaped up in the tree six feet and had wet his pants. Clinging for dear life as he moled the tree for protection, and trembled in fear. Triton tried to jump and continued barking as he glared at the man as he finally said despite he was scared.

"Who is in the tree dog?! That's right, you cant climb!" Triton glared at the man and grunted as he cocked his leg then marked his terrority on the tree. Robyn with april and shadow finally reached his side and grasped the lead. "That is cold, I hope your pee pee freeze up." the man shouted as he tried to man up. Robyn looked up and said. "You are the one in the damn tree stupid."

April and shadow begun laughing. "That was funny. He was a big fat man and he ran so fast and jumped in the tree." Shadow laughed. The man frowned, speechless. April was laughing too but immediately said to her daughter. "Should not say things like that. I taught you better then that about other peoples body weight, shadow."

"But it was funny, mummy." she protested. "Still shadow, not nice to say." April informed her. Robyn petted her beloved protector and gave him a treat. During the while, the trio conversed and the man tried to climb down quietly but climbed up further as he trembled. Triton had sprung up the tree and barked. Robyn smiled. "Lets go now Triton." she insisted. Triton followed.

Few minutes later, the other four men waited til it was safe to approach the tree where their friend was trapped within. "Is it safe to come down?" he asked. The four quickly looked around, and saw robyn, april and shadow were long gone in distance. "No they are not gone but it is safe to get down before that beast comes back." one answered.

"Never thought you were a olympian jumper." another stated. "Oh shuddup!" The group resumed on thier journey as they realised it was safe.
